Hi.
Could anyone place a rough estimate on how much this 1/2 sovereign gold coin would be worth?

It's made in 1927.

This crowd is offering EUR 287. Your coin has no value as a collectible, it's completely down to the current price of gold. When they're selling sovereigns or Kruggerands at auction on antique programmes like 'Flog it' on BBC2, you will typically see the bid price rapidly go up to a ceiling and then the bidding will stop. The expert standing beside Paul Martin (the host) on the auction room floor will usually predict the hammer (sale) price very accurately.
