EO Increment on promotion with Shift allowance factored in

This sounds like marking time. You won't get your increment until your peers catch up with you. Let's say me and you started in the CS on the same day 7 years ago. You then took a shift role after 2 years and I stayed non shift. We both get promoted 5 years later. You cannot start on less than you previously earned, however you are still earning more than me even though we have the exact same experience. I will get my increments as normal after probation, but you don't. We both should be earning the same in our EO roles. I think there is a circular that mentions this, I'll try and find it.
