Sinn Fein manifesto seems to call for no more arms to be given to Ukraine to protect themselves from the invasion by Russia , is this correct ? With no supply of arms the Russian tanks can roll into Kyiv in a few weeks which was always the Russian plan. Where would be next..

What am I trying to deny?

Not all of the comments on the Tonight twitter account are 'abusive'.

They are abusive if you think FG TD's are above criticism maybe…but sadly Clo, they aren't.

SF are pro-Putin, the purge of the website after the war started was trying to cover that up. The manifesto which Im sure SF will hope a lot of their bots wont read is just confirming that.

The bots and fanboys have been oddly silent on the SF manifesto and are putting all their energy into McGahon.

I've yet to see one compelling reason why someone should vote for Sinn Féin in this election and with their russian support, millions of human reasons not to.

I get the feeling they want to limp over the line, get rid of MLMD and then claim a reset but that will be impossible given their current intransigent positions and continuing behavioural debacles.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,088 ✭✭✭Clo-Clo

Most of them don't even bother to read the manifesto as displayed here multiple times

You have one person today on the Green policies thread, which is just a Green party bashing thread, going on about what the Green party never implemented. But the majority of what they put down as not done by Green party was actually implemented. A very vocal SF supporter on all thread

On the same thread a few months ago you had a SF supporter telling me they would vote them in to stop the wind madness of Eamonn Ryan and Green Party. When I pointed out that SF policy was to increase wind power and not decrease it they went off on another tangent

This is just examples but it is very common that SF supporter have actually no idea what SF stand for, they just see the highlight of free everything and vote for that. The online TikTok account are pushing hard the new budget in 100 days to spend all the money Ireland had now, not wait. The same people lapping this up have spent weeks complaining the last budget was a "giveaway one"

It is baffling when you tell them to join the dots and they simply seem unable to, or more likely have realised they have spent 5 years + of their life abusing people to get a SF vote and now it comes around SF don't actually stand for anythign they want.

the highlight of free everything and vote for that

    Where has this been promised?

You are lambasting other posters for getting things wrong and then you make up something like this.

    Never gets old tbh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,088 ✭✭✭Clo-Clo

You lied about what I posted. So yes I called you out on it and instead of admitting it you went off on a tangent. As I said at the time disgusting carry on and no place on a politics forum

Half assed quoting is the next childish sh**e we see daily from you

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 78,779 ✭✭✭✭FrancieBrady

    So you also didn't say:

the highlight of free everything and vote for that

Ok, knock yourself out on that one too.

Making stuff up reflects on your own credibilty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,088 ✭✭✭Clo-Clo

    Im not making up anything.

As I posted, the bit you cut out of the post when you quoted, this is what is been pushed on TikTok, what is been promised in that isn't been pushed out. One TikTok account which IMO is been paid by SF, doen a follow up when someone questioned about the money saying Ireland has loads of money.

Next time quote the entire post or at least the actual f**king sentance or don't quoting my posts. Pathetic

Don't worry about my credibility, I don't need to resort to lying about what people post becuase I have nothing of interest to discuss

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 78,779 ✭✭✭✭FrancieBrady

I asked you to back the quote up. You declined and went on a rant.

Who is offering 'free everything' in return for votes?

An account you 'think' is owned by SF?

That's rich coming from FG who spent every day and night especially on here talking about SF, but never about health, housing, justice, education etc as they can't defend FG on any of them

Not a word from any of them on why FG hid the fact their councillor was removed from the party for inappropriate messages, a few weeks after spending days talking about SF having the same problem

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,088 ✭✭✭Clo-Clo

He was expelled from the party, was well reported.

SF didn't have the same problem.

A SF member was sending messages to a child and SF leader gave a glowing reference to the person when he left.

When it was brought up about the person and what had happened, SF lied, then lied some more and then lied again. It was only after the victim had to come out in the press that SF then decided to stop lying, then sent a TD onto a live radio show to lie again, get caught up in a big muddle and declare we should only think of the victim.

Quick look around and SF losing voters based on comments on Reddit etc with their stance on Ukraine

A party which complains about partion and "partionists" now want to support a country partioning another country

Do they even know what they stand for anymore?

The deleting of the entire website from the Russian propganda wasn't done quick enough as everyone seems to remember

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,128 ✭✭✭harryharry25

Loads and loads of videos, of Mary Lou on stage with the Wolfe Tones tonight all over X

The absolute meltdown from the usuals tomorrow all over the radio will be absolutely hilarious

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,480 ✭✭✭pureza

Did she give a speech about how Ukraine should sacrifice it’s territory to a foreign power at it ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,128 ✭✭✭harryharry25

Don't think you have ever been at a Wolfe Tones Gig. They sing songs considering they are a band

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,088 ✭✭✭Clo-Clo

A few people in Ireland will care she is on stage with the Wolfe Tones

You seem to and then declaring it is hilarious to watch

It says a lot for SF supporters that they want to post about Mary Lou on stage with a band that have now retired instead of discussing SF support of Russia in the war.

    Deflect deflect deflect

Seeing the meltdown of SF online supporters trying to defend SF on this is hilarious you are correct.

No comment on the latest pirouette then, this time into reunification hypocrisy?

Dance monkey, dance. Sing monkey, sing.

She was clearly instructed by the old men in GHQ to do it. A whiff of desperation off it all.

That's what it looked like to me 😄

I'd say you could convince yourself of anything you wanted to.

Do you think MLMD will be SF leader in 3 months time? I don't. I understand it's election time, but even the most pro-SF die hard has to admit they are a busted flush.

There is an opinion poll on Saturday night Sunday and again I think on Monday

You will see SF rise not fall in both.

Ditto on Nov 29th,SF could well be the biggest party

It won’t be Fine Gael,it might be FF.

Heaven preserve us if it were Fine Gael, they’d go into full civil war ramp and offer Michael Martin a junior ministry.

They won’t have the highest T.D count though.

Michael Martin can then use SF as a stick to beat Harris with.

Let us see. I won't be surprised to see Aontu, II and independents all rising at the expense of all three major parties in the next poll.

The government parties are not having a good campaign, but SF are shooting themselves in the foot at every opportunity. MLMD saying she will go to PIRA funerals as Taoiseach the latest one to turn off voters. Plays well to the hardcore, but middle Ireland won't buy that.

However, that poll won't be the end result. One of the more interesting aspects of the election is the evolution of housing policy. One party saying we'll build 20k, the next 30k, the first coming back with 40k, the rest outbidding them all. It is becoming a confusing auction with no credibility on any side. This will go one of two ways, a plague on all your houses and independents getting votes, or a swing back to government parties on the divil you know basis. SF could lose out in the middle.

Still think FG will get the largest vote, but, as you say, candidate recognition may stop them getting the most TDs. Greens will surprise too.

That has been a consistent theme of the election campaign. At the manifesto launch she seemed unsure of several points in the manifesto, including the review of RTE.

She’s on autopilot. None of the energy she had in the past when SF were flying.

I know she has had some personal stuff over the last while which can take its toll on anyone.

Very difficult to see a scenario where she remains leader of SF 6 months from now and suspect she knows that well too. She’s like a colleague who’s handed in their notice but has to serve out their 3 months.
