    Hi all

I have a Vu+Duo2, which i have been using successfully for a number of years - about 6 months ago i updated it to OpenATV 7.3, and since then i have noted a slight instability sneaking into its use

It sometimes crashes when timeshifting, it dramatically slows down quite quickly, and it seems to have difficulty downloading EPG data at times - its not responsive

I never had issues before, but foolishly, i never took note of what openatv i had been using - so im giving a shoutout to all Duo2 users, and simply asking what are you using that is stable, responsive, and decent? We use this box for TV, PVR function (500gb hdd installed) and radio - dont use many other features, as we have a seperate box for foreign Satellite, and a seperate stick for Smart function (Youtube, Netflix, etc)

Iv only used Open ATV in the past - but im open to using VIx or what ever is recommended! Thx

Ive got two VU+ Duo 4K SE models

I have latest openvix image installed. Default " Simple 1080 " skin.

I always go openvix because there is a manual.

    https://www.openvix.co.uk/openvix-builds/Guides%20and%20Tutorials/VIX%20Manual%20Vs%201.1.pdf

The boxes are stable and solid as a rock.

Note , crossepg no longer works with openvix , opentv epg is now built into openvix instead and is very simple to use.

shout out to everyone who responded

I woke up today and just decided to get it over with - done the update to OpenVix 6.6.0.11 - latest one

A joy, simply a joy to set up - used openwebif to set up the bouquets as i prefer them - selected a different skin, to mirror the previous one (Blue Sky Style, we had been using Slyk on ATV)

Connected everything up, i have it connected to HiFi for sound

Havent encountered an issue as of yet

Just a shout out on OpenTV EPG - does it need to be manually set up? My experience is limited to Cross EPG

I use a USB Stick to store EPG Data, to keep it seperate from the HDD, and avoid using internal memory

i THINK I have it set correctly? its in the standard EPG Settings menu, but appears unassociated with OpenTV

For Schedule Scan it has Auto, and Automatic Update Interval is set to 6 - im entirely unsure what that means!? and is there a sub section within OpenTV EPG where i can ensure that the EPG is going to USB Stick>?

    Thanks in advance

Ok do this menu setup epg settings EPG LOCATION see what it says and change it by toggling with right arrow. If usb was plugged in when you updated it will have been detected. green to save.

Opentvepg, enable have as Yes, schedule scan auto, update interval is in hours I use 24, in extensions say yes and then if epg is empty you can press blue and do a forced, no no for next.

Now you can also do it a bit like crossepg, back to schedule scan arrow right get custom then put in time etc under days of week you can pick days when you want it to run. I have it running at 6.00am ie while asleep.
