Not that it matters, but that staying yellow is ridiculous

No point kicking a DG. You just give them the chance to win the game as we’ve been poor exiting from restarts. Keep them down there.

Last week and today there's been a body in the way in almost every ruck that's slowing down our support players. Something we used to be very clever at but get pinged for every time now. Not souch the opposition though.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

"Good work" says the ref as the Puma rolls backwards into Casey's way. What is he looking at?!

Christ how did we let them get that close

Very unconvincing. No questions answered tonight anyway. Or at least, not the answers we were hoping for.

That Irish team is finished badly needs a reset

    Scoreless second half. Bloody hell.

Even Hansen was shocking, what is going on

Didn't deserve that, another mistake ridden half

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,346 ✭✭✭Eoinbmw

    Brutal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,541 ✭✭✭clsmooth

Yep, and look how hard they had to work for it which ultimately resulted in them being out on their feet and knocking on.

Honestly that 2nd half was arguably worse than last week considering we nearly let a 13 point lead slip…the only positive is we won the game.

Blessed to win that. They’d hammer us in a WC again

Jesus that's an awful performance from Ireland. Terrible.

    Cagey.

    Very, very, very cagey.

    But alas

Well if some of the lads were lucky not to have been dropped......not many of them should be starting V Fiji and Australia.

Don't think I've ever seen an entire team and coaching box look so obviously visibly relieved.. 😅

    Really enjoyed that match

We should have taken the penalty kick and when we didn't we needed to try a DG, we coughed up too much ball at ruck time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,392 ✭✭✭FtD v2

That was a **** scandalous refereeing performance. We couldn’t buy a penalty in their half.

Three times in a row in the last 10 mins they had guys lying on the wrong side, flopping over the ruck and playing the 9 and every time Williams calls play on, then blows one for them immediately.

The only penalties we got all night were incredibly obvious and egregious foul play - while Argentina were incredibly aggressive all night in the ruck.

Anyone that dared to suggest last week that we're in decline was ridiculed on here. What do the 'it was just a blip' crowd say now?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,088 ✭✭✭Clo-Clo

    No it wasn't

It was a good first half and then it fell to **** in second half

Last week it fell to **** from minute one

No points scored for 50 minutes in that game.

Squeezed the win but the mood isn't really positive either. We were better the final 20 minutes of the game, but our game is still so shaky at the minute. Got into good positions, but poor handling or clear outs in the 22 cost us scores.

Beirne back to 2nd row, bring Baird in if he is fit. Or else timoney.

Nash in at 14 as Hansen looks miles off the pace

    We are missing Conan
