The IDF were told a month ago that Hamas were defeated in Gaza. Gallant said as much as he was being booted out - perhaps he was being booted out because of his views. In other words, once Hamas was defeated, there was no further reason to turn Gaza and its people in to dust.

Israel is continuing its Genocide of the Palestinians because they want their land.

Listen to Smotrich and Ben Gvir - they are telling the truth.

Heard on RTE tonight that Israel have refuse a request by Israel to evacuate 6 or so Palestinian children from Gaza to Jordan to receive specialist medical care. No reason was given by Israel for the refusal.

One of the children is a two year old girl with a double leg amputation. Let me say that again. A two year old with both her legs blown off.

I held onto the hope that at some point, normal Israelis with some kind of humanity for their fellow human beings, would rise up and protest. Maybe they will. They must. Or this last 12 months will taint all Israelis with a terrible stain that will never wash off. Ever.

There is a Hamas tunnel in the little girls arms something something

The Israeli's are now in the same league as the Russians and the Nazi's themselves. That's the world view of them now and it's well deserved.

Stade de France almost empty tonight. More protesters outside than fans inside. Guess being a genocidal pariah state means people don’t want to watch you play football.

Only a few thousand people at the France - Israel match at Stade de France (probably the lowest attendance for an international in decades).

This is presumably the future for the terrorist state in sport: nobody wants to see them.

That was a bit rushed. Sorry. I was so incensed with the inhumanity of the situation. I really can't understand how Israelis support this and I cannot understand how anyone can support Israel. How much lower can this terrorist, genocidal pariah State go?

So to correct my post above, It was MSF who were refused access to children that are desperate for medical care.

Supporters of Israeli applauded Israel for sending in planes to rescue football fans, one of whom lost a tooth.

The sooner your friend Nethanyu is removed from the equation there might be peace also.

I hear this a lot, and while I do not like Bibi, let's say that happens and the IDF go back to the Israel/Gaza border.

Do you think Hamas will not return to militarism? Will they stop hating Jews and try to kill them? Hamas are a death cult at the end of the day.

Given that Israel is widely regarded as a deeply corrupt / terrorist state, would it be that much of a surprise that pro-nationalists in an occupied part of the country (who are a different religion, ethnicity and language to the occupiers) would be using violence against them?

Israel doesn't even deny for a moment that it is using extreme levels of violence against Gaza and its population - it's hardly a secret.

    You don't get it.

This isn't a disagreement between two individuals. It's war between two opposing groups of people.

One side started the war with a grotesque and despicable act. There's no putting the toothpaste back into the tube after what Hamas did. There's no ceasefire, there's no peaceful co-existence between the state of Israel and Hamas. If Hamas is not dealt with now, they will regroup and just start a new war at a latter stage.

It's imperative that Israel gets the job done.

Hamas are not the PLO or the PLA.

They are Jihadists. They are not nationalists.

Who is to say? It could be argued that if Israel was to attack any region and kill 40,000 of their population in the space of 12 months, no matter what their religion, ethnicity or language, they surely could expect violence to come back against them. The 'who started it' thing is almost irrelevant.

Does Palestine have the right to defend itself?

This Boycott is wonderful news, and almost certainly in direct response to the Israeli naZionists' activities in Amsterdam.

What FIFA and UEFA will not do, the public is doing of its own accord. This is the best type of Boycott of all, because it demonstrates in the clearest fashion possible to the world that people do not support Israel.

Moreover, it demonstrates to Macron and his government that the people of France disapprove of his policy, which has been to support Israel. Nobody can force you to attend a football match, and a televised Boycott makes the opposition to Israel and to collaborating governments all the clearer. When they see an empty stadium like this, they know they have lost the street.

While our individual Boycotts are not so visible and therefore not so obvious, they are still of enormous importance if we are to bring an end to israel's intolerable behaviour.

Thats what was said about the PLO, no going back, peace is impossible, about the PLO and its Nobel Peace Prize winning president.

I don’t think you, still claiming that the conflict is “primarily driven by antisemitism” has any credible insight into the conflict.

A new report reveals the involvement of UNRWA educational personnel in Hamas activity. It proves what Israel has been saying about UNRWA.

Israel always acts in bad faith.

Every time they negotiate with Palestinian representatives, Palestine is reduced. They are pressured by the US, Britain, France, Germany, into agreeing to give up something in return for promises that are never honoured. Time and time again, Israel always does the same.

Israel never negotiates in good faith. The only thing they understand is power, and each of us has the power to reject Israel, to refuse to buy Israeli goods or use Israeli services. Let's use that power to undermine Israel.

Moreover, use our votes to ensure that, for instance, Pascal Donohoe is given the boot in response to agreeing to block the Occupied Territories Bill. If it is true that he took a call from Israel and agreed to undermine the Dáil's vote for the bill, IMO this is a treasonous act on his part and he does not deserve to hold public office.

I very much get it. A terrorist group murdering 1200 people does not excuse genocide and ethnic cleansing of civilians. The Israeli regimes actions are those of murdering psychopaths. What could be 100k civilians indiscriminately butchered - is this the job you find imperative to "get done"?

If this is how you see the world, do you also think it is "imperative" that the Palestinians, who very much so didn't start this war, also take revenge on Israel, and "get their job done" and attack Israeli civilians? After all they have been wronged too, far more than the Israelis have they not? Or does that noble right belong exclusively to Israeli's?

The mental gymnastics being performed on this thread is astonishing, and I will tell you there aren't many in Ireland buying it.

A new report by a biased Israeli ngo supports the Israeli government view on the unrwa. What a shock that anyone would believe that.

It's you that still don't get it. There is no getting the job done through purely military means. When are you going to realise this . All Israel is ensuring is that Hamas or a variant of it will exist in some shape or form in the future. This actually suits the likes of Likud who have no interest in a two state solution. As long as the likes of Likud and the ultra nationalists are in power there will be no peace, their policies ensure that. You will keep ignoring that though.

Can you imagine Marcon showing up to show solidarity with Putin's Russia after Russian hooligans caused trouble in a European city. Oh that's right Russian teams are banned from competing due to their military committing war crimes, but an ally gets a pass for theirs.

Maybe they were sitting on top of tunnels or they were in seats which the bible promised to Israeli fans.

'One side started the war with a grotesque and despicable act'

Are you referring to Tantura or further back?

Do you have a favourite way for the Israeli's to murder children?

The same sources that told the same Jerusalem Post about this?

The Guardian have a story about it today.

Now, five months on, her situation is getting desperate. There is still shrapnel in her neck and she is in agony every time she moves. She cannot eat or speak. The platinum used by surgeons to rebuild her face is coming apart, with little more than a bandage holding her jaw together.

Doctors say her wounds are now infected and there is little they can do to stop it spreading. If she is not allowed access to surgery immediately, she could die.

Unicef’s James Elder says: “Children in Gaza are dying – not just from the bombs, bullets and shells that strike them – but because, even when miracles happen [and] the children survive, they are then prevented from leaving Gaza to receive the urgent care that would save their lives.

“This is not a logistical problem – we have the ability to safely transport these children out of Gaza. It is not a capacity problem – indeed, we were evacuating children at higher numbers just months ago. It is simply a problem that is being completely disregarded.”

Here jawbone is held together with bandages and it's become infected. She's slowing rotting away and Israel won't allow her to travel for medical help. 5 fecking months they've been trying to evacuate her.

Can any of Israels defenders here please tell me how this is justified? How this is anything except torturing a young girl? And don't dare say that Hamas are to blame. Hamas aren't the ones stopping her getting the medical help she needs.

I also realise I'm shouting into a void here. Most of the israeli supporters will just ignore this because it's not an argument they can "win". Others just won't care. They'll be glad to see an arab girl suffering. And I'm sure a few will agree with me that Israel should do something. But even if they agree, rather than seeing this an an example of israels complete disregard for palestinian suffering, they'll see it as an exception. And they certainly won't condemn Israel for it.

Things are going to enter an entirely new phase of awful next year, the west Bank will be entirely cleared as both Rubio and the ambassador to Israel Huckabee support greater Israel, we better start planning for real asylum seekers in Ireland as a lot of Palestinians are heading for Europe

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 626 ✭✭✭felonious_Gru

No , the only decent thing for Palestinians to do is roll over and die without any fuss

Awful stuff and yes I also don't get the mentality of loads on here.

95% of civilian deaths in this war have been Palestinian,.mostly women and children, yet the same old posters talk about 1200 Israelis to justify this devastation. Yes, Oct 7th was an atrocity, awful. Even still, 95% of atrocities targeting civilians have been carried out by Israel.

This is an Irish message forum, which is a neutral country. Id say 95% of people in Ireland have had zero negative interactions with either Israelis or Palestinians that could shape poisonous views one way or another. We should be able to see this for what it is, but you wouldn't think it reading here.

Why aren't these usual suspects mourning all casualties? Instead, those of Palestinians are swept under the carpet or are justified. Cold b*stards saying this is imperative or justified. Why is 1200> 50,000 -100,000?
