    Yeah the upgrade is free.

Engineer had it installed in about 10 mins.

I'm doing the upgrade order in the MySky app. They say there is a 1tb and a 2tb box but I can't see anywhere to choose. Can it be done?

Is the minibox worth it? I'm reading the wireless connection can be flaky. My minibox would be upstairs a good distance from the router and with concrete slab floors.

The mini boxes can be tricky. They are useful when they work but the connection can be tricky to maintain.

A very brief overview is that unless you have sky broadband, the main and mini(s) connect to each other over a proprietary 5ghz mesh network. They can be rejigged to use wired connections (with specific instructions) but the counter intuitive thing is you can't just pop them onto existing working WiFi.

I'm not sure if they phased out the 2tb box. I know when I got mine there were benefits such as connecting extra minis but I think the 1 tb is standard now. Not sure if it's an option or not these days as sky are terrible at updating their site like that.

Also, in the MySky app, when i choose the box + minibox it says €0 charge but if I go for the box only option charge is €150.

Is this because there is a monthly charge with the minibox?

Not sure of the specifics but yes a hook to get you paying the monthly fee for multiscreen/room, whatever it's called these days.
