Is this not pretty “standard” for every show? Pat has the same people on over and over, Anton the same for his weekend show.

Miriam O’Callaghan went through a phase of having Brendan Graham and Michael Harding alternating nearly every week.

I can only assume a lot of these “regulars” are down to being someone the host just likes. Wasn’t Alison O’Connor on Brendan’s tv show a couple of times?

When something odd looks to be happening re guests and contributors, always look for the pattern with other shows and other presenters - In particular, if there's any common ground between the presenters (if you get my drift)

I called it on boards about 3 years ago that the ever present Prof Luke O'Neill not only had an agent (proven recently), but an agent of note so I'm not surprised to see him near the top of the list - these names were mentioned above - Scott Lucas, Louise Burne and M Harding - They'd be high on my dodge list as would the Richard Hogan guy (regular Sat slot for some grifting phycology crap)

Never underestimate the reach of the little fella when it comes to your daily entertainment - Always good to cross-ref if they pop up on the VM tonight show - That's the little guy's 'petri dish' for his eh…talent

Makes you wonder why a multi millionaire scientist like Luke feels the need to have an agent.

I haven't looked it up, but I would think that Cullinane would not be as inclined to take a shot at Luke, as he is at others of privilege. They are both operating in the Groves of Academe, and feeding from the same trough. Y'see, as Luke would say.

You were correct, I was disappointed; but not for the reasons you incorrectly assumed.

Yes, the salary is enormous, I understand that, but that doesn't affect my soul.

Arry for heavens sake give it a rest with the mental illness... Morn, noon an night

Well at least it's a case of someone who was properly hospitalized, not someone who was sad because they were struggling to cope with the pressure of fame and success and has now seen the mindful light etc etc

That was kind of my initial reaction, but I think she was terrific…once you actually listen to her. She cut through all that mental health guru stuff, which is often exploitative sh1te, and made the important distinction between mental 'health' and 'illness'. As someone who has a history of mental 'illness' in my wider family, her explanation of anxiety vs/moving to depression was really informative. Best of luck to her.

I used to visit a relative in St. Pats.

It is a place of hope.

Is this Harding on again? wtf is this weird obsession with having this lad on all the time..

I don't mind him (interesting sometimes), but we're now straying into the guru stuff. BOC loves this, but he overdoes on the show imo…it's overkill.

There is a lot to be said for sitting on the side of a hill looking down on Lough Allen.

mark little is part of the problem. Faux leftie but just wants €€€€

Now that is a truly dangerous and sinister sentiment.

You don't get to decide other people's opinions.

If you try to shut down everybody you don't agree with then bad situations like Trump is the result.

Ps "both side" is not a verb.

Didn't listen today but no surprise Harding was on again.

He lives in the rte building.

Newsflash: €€€€ aren't left or right.

Everyone wants a bit of folding stuff in the pocket.

    Try this.

Lay down on a sofa or the floor.

Play back MH, today was very good but any day will do.

If you don't feel better after that....

Well I did my best 😊

I agree he is a very calming man, but he is on Rte radio A LOT!

He can be interesting to listen to, and other times he seems to waffle about nothing.

In the World we live in how could you od on calm of all things ?

His USP is being interesting while talking about things that prima facie are nothing much but turn out to be vital.

He is, would be great if Pat Kenny could get him on his show too.

There's even more to be said for looking at your bank app seeing the payment has come in from Ireland's most trusted agent

Will Fionnuala Jones be dropping in for a chat tomorrow I wonder - She seems to have migrated over to RTE popping up with C Byrne and BOC on a regular basis (along with that gobby Australian one)

Panel regulars Dan O’Brien and Scott Lucas on today. Fairly bland discussion so far given the US and Irish elections were there to be dissected.

An ad during the break for yet another Brendan O’Carroll Mrs. Brown’s Tour this December; there was an RTÉ Comedy tagline at the end of this ad. Are RTÉ seriously using taxpayers money to support this private individuals business venture? An individual who isn’t tax resident in this country, and one who lest we forget was part of the Panama Papers scandal? Have they learned nothing re. optics?
