    Oh Shucks, I didn't realize this had started! Even worse, I missed my win 😭.

    Thought the song might do well being a Linkin Park song, but still didn't expect it to get the top spot. Delighted with that😏.

    I've been listening to this on repeat since it was releeased. Love the whole arrangement of the song, from start to finish.

    Exactly what you said regarding the loss of Chester. I thought that was the end of the road for the band and it was heartbreaking but the new member slotted in like she had been there all along.

    I know this will be one of those songs that I will never get bored of.

    There's something comforting about being around someone who understands your need for silence & space. You don't have to fill the air with words or explanations, they just get it..

    😆 I'm sorry @Trigger but I kinda agree with Necro's notes. I don't know a lot of their songs but some of them I really like. This one unfortunatley didn't grab my attention as much..

    My heart got a palpitation from excitement seeing Disturbed posted. Loooove this band.

    But, well, this is a bit awkward.. I am one of a minority of people who do not like Disturbed Sound of Silence song 😬.

    The contrast of delicate backround music and his voice just never worked for me. Yet I know that is a exactly what so many people love about the song (even people that don't like the bands other music).

    To me, it's like his voice is too powerful and loud for the song. I just listened to it there and I know I should like it but it still bothers me.

    On a plus though, the remix version above is a hit with me! FINALLY I can enjoy the song 😅. (it'll probably piss off those that love the other version, lol)

    It's kinda like this new goody.

    Two amazing voices SEPERATELY but together I think they kinda clash a bit. Avrils voice sounds too strong and loud aswel.

    I think when they are singing together, she kinda drowns out his voice a bit.. Maybe it's just me.

    Goldengirl with the best song of this round, The new Cure album is fantastic.

    So not too long to go now till the reveal and it's time for my own….

    Confessions:

    Confessions was a category I chose as a bit of a laugh so people could send in a bit of cheese to break up the… serious biznazz of the previous round.

    It actually wound up becoming my favorite category to listen to (yes, I’m already through the first and second listens of the remaining two categories, fear not those of ye expecting a Walrus abandonment :D )

    Anywho before I get into it I thought I would share with you some songs I’d enter here and why….

    What can I say, I’m a 90s child really and I absolutely loved this song when it came out. It’s forgotten in the annals of cheesy pop music now but it was absolutely EVERYWHERE when I was coming of age.

    What can I say… I may be partial to a bit of man-candy in my music the odd time. I find myself coming back to this track on the regular though, I think it’s the backing beat that kicks the song off *bam dum doon* that brings me back. Sucker for that sort of stuff.

    I don’t really think being a fan of Tay Tay is that much of a confession these days. But I like this song precisely because of her taking aim at certain… male stereotypes. Not to turn this into a thread on gender equality now or anything but there is a certain truth in her lyrics in this track, which some might find uncomfortable.

    Now there’s my own confessions! Feel free to tell us all why you submitted your entry to this category. Or keep it quiet if you prefer! We will move onto the rankings shortly!!!

    Ill probably miss the reveal. My confession song isnt really too out there but considering that I mainly listen to rock, grunge and rap it kinda sticks out when it pops up in the playlist, but I admit.. I belt it out like no one is watching 😂

    Video when I was searching for it kind of reminds me of Bonkers by Dizzee Rascal. It’s not that I didn’t like this track, there are parts I enjoyed but when it came to scoring it unfortunately was one that I found a bit forgettable which dropped it down the rankings a fair bit.
