    If Trump wins then it shows democracy is in place and the American voters get the president they deserve and the people who didn't vote against Trump can't complain about the result.

    The media will be happy if Trump wins as they have their headlines made for the next 4 years.

    For the dems to say at the start that Biden was their best candidate said it all really.

    As much has been said if Trump was to lose the GOP need to re-evaluate themselves I think the dems need a look in the mirror.

    Going forward they need to get behind someone like Pete Buttigieg

    So as predicted at this stage, we can confidently say Trump is going to be 47.

    How did the Democrats go so wrong again? They made the same mistakes as 2016 and learned nothing from that defeat. Wheeling out the most unpopular, ineffectual, damp squib candidate ever. Going for the bottom of the barrel, calling their opposition "nazis" Making the whole campaign about "Defeating Trump" and not setting out their own stall, rake of celebrity endorsements.. the list goes on and on. I honestly believe, if it had not been for Covid, Trump would have won 2020 too.

    It's definitely going to be interesting to see the reaction of some posters on here who spent nearly 4 years bashing Trump everyday saying he had no future in politics, this next thing would take him down, this next court case will see him go to prison etc. Seems like you guys had a serious case of believing your own press lol.

    Expect a lot of hand wringing among the Irish liberal press about the exit of multinationals and "WW3" etc. None of it will come to pass.
