Trump stock slumped in the couple of hours before closing and closed down on the day.

    Down further after-hours.

It will be a good barometer to watch

    Debunked where?

The US inflation trajectory throughout the last 6 years (at least) has pretty much matched exactly that of the UK and the EU.

Although both the UK and EU both experienced higher rates and the UK recovery is lagging behind the UK which will be worth keeping in mind the next time someone is talking about how well Brexit is going.

Your post contains multiple statements of fact with zero evidence. It is just a rehash of Russian propaganda and lies spun by Putin's Kremlin.

Nato only expanded because liberated countries asked to join, fearful Russia would seek to dominate them.

And they have been proven right.

Under the Nato Russia Founding Act countries can associate with Nato or Russia.

Europe is in turmoil because Russia illegally invaded Ukraine. Russias violations of peace agreements (eg Budapest) started when Ukraine sought to sign a trade treaty with the EU. If Russia was concerned about Nato it would not have stripped its forces from Nato borders to send to Ukraine on a war on comquest and atrocity and plunder. So that was a Russian lie.

There is only one side violating peace agreements and starting wars - the warmongering is by Russia.

There was no agreed deal in Istanbul. That is a Russian lie. All Johnson said was he didnt trust the Russians were acting in good faith and the Ukranians agreed, especially in light of Russian atrocities such as Bucha.

This article sumnarises how far away from an agreed deal - an almost every major point there was no agreement. There were key unresolved fundamental points, everything from the nature of security guarantees, the size of Ukraines military, and borders of disputed regions.

    Nevada polling expert Jon Ralston:

On Election Day 2020, 109,000 Clark County voters went to the polls. Repubs won by 2,000 ballots.

Today: 84,000 have already voted with 5 and a half hours left and Dems have a 2,000-ballot lead.

A first-term with an unprepared administration who had no policies is very different from what’s coming if he wins tonight. A cabinet, administration team and plan are in place.

He’ll intervene in Ukraine, he’ll get involved in the never-ending Israeli wars (already has) plus he’ll recommence his stand-off with China and start a trade war with the EU. New tariffs will ensure that.

Miami Dade, won by Biden by 10% last time, up now +3 for registered Republicans.

Seems overall the Republicans have the lead in Nevada still.

Why? It's a random "blue tick" Twitter account posting results before polling has closed? Where are they getting the info from?

Several States run live tallies of registered party votes having voted, not who they voted for.

    Trump is now wailing:

A lot of talk about massive CHEATING in Philadelphia. Law Enforcement coming!!!

Bit like the lot of talk about dogs and cats being eaten by Haitians, i.e. bollocks. Pollster Lakshya Jain comments:

Semi-serious tweet, but the most bullish signal I can find for Dems tonight is that after spending an entire election acting as if he's a lock, Donald Trump now finally thinks he is in trouble.

I didn't expect a cheating allegation from Trump before midnight our time, I must admit.

Good lord I’ve just realised how this electoral system works!

    Wtf!

So if you voted for trump in 2016 but you were in California, your vote didn’t matter as all 54 seats that California represent went to Clinton anyway as she won most votes there.
Likewise if you voted for Clinton in Texas your vote didn’t really matter as Texas seats were always going to trump as he was gonna win more than 50% of the vote.

    So popular vote doesn’t matter.

Your vote is much more meaningful if you live in a swing state.

If you are a third party you don’t have a hope of ever getting anywhere near the White House.

Live data of who has voted by party affiliation. State led and published.

It's why the same states keep popping up in the info.

Not A new thing by any stretch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 150 ✭✭Novfith

    It's not posting results.

Some states have live tracking of number of votes by party registration. That's what the tweet quoted shows. It's not a guarantee but it's something to go off.

It's a very good account, not biased.

why bother with this nonsense? In about 3 hours there will be actual votes to talk about.

    These exit polls are nonsense.

Why bother having any discussion about the US election at all then?

I love a discussion. Posting meaningless polls with the tag “this is bad for Harris” isn’t discussion though.

As before, what about Russian military presence in Canada, Mexico and Guatemala at the invitation of those countries?

What war-mongering has Russia been involved in since 1945 (bar Afghanistan) when the US has created, or intervened in circa 35 conflicts across all continents? Georgia is broadly similar to Ukraine in terms of Sakashvilli being led to believe he’d have NATO support (and possible membership) and thus being emboldened to attack Russian Ossetian villages. Another avoidable conflict. The US and UK don’t care about Ukraine. Their mineral assets yes. Their people no.

America does the exact same, look at the meddling they have done in latin America but this never gets spoken in the same manner in the west as we are conditioned not to criticise our own governments (especially the media and intellects)

Wasn't Trump a lot further ahead on the economy? Not sure that exit poll is so good for him.

Daniel Dale of CNN on Trump's allegations about Philadelphia:

From colleague Holmes Lybrand: The Philadelphia Police Department told CNN they were not aware what Trump was referring to and did not know of any issues with voting that required a law enforcement response.

    Quelle surprise.

Already asked and answered and your false claims are totally discredited by the provisions of the NATO-Russia Founding Act which you have failed to engage with.

The rest of your post is meaningless whataboutery, reflexive anti-Western position and historical ignorance. Not even good whataboutery - what conflicts has Russia been involved in? Where do you want to start? How about researching the invasion of Hungary and Czechoslovakia and keep reading about all the other Cold War conflicts Russia fomented with its arms sales and 'advisors' et al.

Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Korea, etc), Africa (Congo - killing President Lumumba, Angola, etc), everywhere in Latin America including a coup in Chile to kill President Allende. They’ve intervened everywhere they could with no moral restraint and committed abuses that have little equal in our post-WWII planet.

Hence the focus on swing seats. The margin is likely to be less than 100,000 votes in the right places, and possibly far less than that. Postal votes counted later might change the result.

It gets better, AFAIK the electors can change their vote too when they get to Washington. Plenty of room for shenanigans.

And if it's a draw then - Each state, regardless of population, casts a single vote for President in a contingent election which favours Trump.

It’s impossible to get a read into Nevada with Clark and Washoe having huge NPA votes. Will need to get the spilts before making projections.
