I outlined the reasons to another poster. Of course I might be wrong but I'm quite confident on this one now after being pessimistic a week ago, due to the factors I explained and which I think are pretty solid rather than just wishful thinking. We'll find out tomorrow morning

I'm hearing a lot of positive vibes from Democrat supporters today as well with a lot of anecdotal evidence of high turnouts and women outvoting men.

Though it strikes me as strange that the betting odds haven't shifted.

Remember the stuff he went on with in his final weeks in 2020?

“President Trump will work from early in the morning until late in the evening. He will make many calls and have many meetings.”

That was the official White House schedule Press release for a number of weeks.

We found out later a lot of those calls and meetings were about how to commit various crimes mind.

Would be some crack if he had to stand down for health reasons during his term and Biden manages to pretty much stay active throughout the same period.

Trump was the same casting his vote in 2016, along the lines of "we'll see what happens, we left everything on the field". The mask slips sometimes, he knows it's very close and there's a good possibility of him losing. It's election day, there's nothing left to be done besides waiting now.

I haven't logged in for a while but noticed I got bombarded for calling Harris a weak candidate. I want her to win, I don't want to see the US go down the route of a Hungary or Belarus. I think there's too many checks and balances in place for it to deteriorate awfully but who knows what could happen with someone like Trump and his cronies with power.

This left/right nonsense is toxic. People should be able to criticize a candidate and not expect grueling replies like I'm attacking their own character somehow. Views can be mutually inclusive, i.e. seeing Harris as a weak candidate but also wanting her to win. I would have liked to see someone like a Amy Klobuchar run.

    Anyway have at it.

GOP seems very confident that AZ has flipped Red.
We will wait and see but that alone won’t be enough.

Given how the Republican Party doubled down so hard on Team Trump and MAGAfication if Trump doesn't win will they try to wheel him out again in 4 years time if hes alive or will they just pivot to Ivanka leading them to try and lure females back to their side?

They have may have utterly screwed themselves for a generation going all in on Donnie to the level they had.

Would be very interesting to see how the likes of Fox would respond to his claims, would they take the risk on being sued again

I'd not be surprised if more people vote for Harris than Biden, as the vote in reality is not for them, it's simply against Trump. They can brag about getting the most votes ever, but the reality is a huge percent of those who voted for them didn't even want them as President, it was purely to prevent Trump from winning. This gives Harris a great chance to win.

Who in the GOP said this? Was it Kari Lake?

The polls in AZ don't close for another 7 hours. And Arizona officials themselves say it could take 1-2 weeks to complete counting.

How many mainstream Republicans did you see at MSG? Most of the party doesn't want Trump and is basically sitting it out.

They won't openly oppose him but they want to get rid of him and purge the MAGA cult.

No. He loses today, he's never going on a ballot again.

I don't think Ivanka is interested at this point. She was I feel in 2016-2019, remember her trying to join in in conversations at a G20 conference in 2019, but she has been nowhere this campaign and I'd say she doesn't have the stomach for going back in to this space.

Besides, I think the GOP will have Niki Halley to attract female voters in 2028. If for some reason Trump had pulled out and endorsed her like Biden did Harris, she could well be favourite today.

Always Trump's safest bet of the swingers. If Arizona is even in the mix then Harris has this won…

The betting market is still largely total guesswork, nobody has any inside info. The real fun and games will start after midnight - 1am, that will be the time to start watching the market and to see how it is reacting.

Speaking of Ivanka, where is she?

She has turned into quite the Wally.

And what about the lad who brought peace to the middle east?

Surely they are 2 assets you would be wheeling out at your rallies?

Trump with a pulse wont endorse anyone but himself (or possibly the daughter that turns him on). Unless theres a full purge where all MAGA's are binned and "RINOs" are handed the reins again I dont see how they can break free from the cult they've embraced.

It'd be easier to leave Scientology.

Trump could regret being cocky today(well when isn't he?), saying they're definitely going to win. And on the 6 One news after he voted, he was saying he's sure he's ahead, that's what he's being told. Then at the end saying he might regret saying that.

Meanwhile Harris is still pleading for people to vote for her. Trump should be doing the same. Maybe he is ahead, and doesn't feel the need to make any last minute pleas for people to turn out for him.

Reports seem to be saying there is a very big male turnout so far.

Musk was on Rogan yesterday pleading with men to vote, might be working.

Registered Republicans seem to be turning our strongly, more so than 2020 it seems in that state.

Covid hit AZ hard in 2020 and there reports that many older GOP types stayed away from the polls as a protest at Trump.
AZ would be the strongest bet for switch to Trump IMO.

He didn't have the sense to ask her to be VP or not to publicly insult her during all the primaries

    Independent numbers are HUGE

Wow - time for a third party folks

They can't because Trump will light them up on social media and MAGA will turn on them. Most of the top brass like all the Democrats privately absolutely despise Trump and what he's done to their party. MAGA is a tumour on the party they'll be hoping they won't have to amputate themselves and that Trump will just go away after this.

Concession speech of Donold J. Trump.

"I would like to extend my congratulations to Kamala Harris on her historic election as President. We fought a hard election where tough words were spoken on the battlefield but that is in the past. The people have spoken and, as a believer in democracy, I naturally accept their decision. America faces tough challenges ahead and I am happy to assist President Elect Kamala in any way possible. I would like to thank my supporters and ask them to row in behind the new president. May God Bless America and Kamala"

    Not exactly.

Since 2016, Trump endorsed candidates have not by and large done well. I think this is why he appears so much on his own this campaign rather than influential GOP people being on stage with him in the same way that Harris has had.

Mitch McConnel, Lyndsey Graham, Kevin McCarthy all initially came out against him after Jan 6th, even Fox news did in 2022. I feel they are just waiting for him to be weak enough that they can pull or push aside. He wasn't then, I feel he is now, particularly if he loses again.
