People on this site were scoffing and sneering when I highlighted these plans back in 2022. Now the holy land is upended, genocides on multiple fronts. He also said he supports Israel going after Iran's nuclear sites. Bibi may feel emboldened now to up the ante even further. The only thing that might get Donald to rein in Israel is if further escalation risks drawing America directly into conflict with Iran. The one thing he seems to be averse to is the US being involved directly in wars abroad .

Trump seems to view war as a waste of money. I think he'll opt to de-escalate but he'll give Israel a window; two months it appears according to the Israeli media, to reach an endgame stage in Gaza. It'll be America first, second and third with Trump. Bibi would be daft to push things with Trump. Ditto for Iran. What does the US gain if Israel strikes Iran's nuclear sites?
