Brave Israeli government going for all out famine from here on with the ban of UNRWA. The aid system will absolutely collapse now.

    Genocide. 100%. Sick cowards.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Land-grabbing Israel not likely to stop until they control the flow of goods between east and west by means of the Suez Canal. People on this site were scoffing and sneering when I highlighted these plans back in 2022. Now the holy land is upended, genocides on multiple fronts. Israeli Finance minister Smotrich now brazenly admitting to their wider plans:

At least he's honest. Third time lucky for the Suez maybe? We'll finally have to start paying what we truly owe.

Undoubtedly, many supporters of Israel will continue to scoff and sneer. Just like they do about war crimes and Genocide. There's always a justification…

I think we also realise the middle east is more complex than the Iranians are evil combat 14. Oh wait it's fairly black and white for you when it comes to Iran. It's not complex either when it comes to Israel, they are an occupier who routinely commits war crimes against Palestinians. You will keep ignoring it though to defend your beloved Israel

A former senior IDF leader admitted targeting civilians is intentional as part of a doctrine he concieved of , but according to you Israel is not at fault, it doesn't target civilians. A good joke combat 14.

Any Idea why they are bombing Iraq , Yemen, Syira and UN bases though? What did they just misread the Q in Iraq and go .. yeah iran.. same thing?

Do they genuinely believe all of europe is in cahoots with hezbollah?? Because so far they have bombed polish UN peacekeeper soldiers Italian UN peacekeeping soldiers ( and put one in hospital) french peace keeping UN soldiers and irish peacekeeping UN soldiers?? Most of these UN soldiers maintain it was deliberate.

Much when israel bombed a UN headquarters once.

Large groups of countries backing turkey's calls for the US to ban arms sales to Israel. Just the one from Europe and hopefully more join. Worth a try, you never know.

Really enjoyed this discussion on the war, the relationship between the US and Israel and solutions to the conflict. Doubt we'll see much change in the region for the next week or so, so it's well worth a watch if you have thirty mins spare.

They will just increase their famine tactics. That's where the cowardly Israelis are now. Cheaper to kill by famine and disease.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Double speak and threat of economic fallout if the occupied territories bill passes show just how shallow Irish politics is when it comes to actual action against israel.

"Less than ninety minutes after receiving Cronin's email, at 4.02pm, tánaiste Micheál Martin announced that rather than bring the Occupied Territories Bill into law, "the bill will be reviewed and amendments will be prepared in order to bring it into line with the constitution and EU law."

Hasn't the Taoiseach and Tanaiste been saying this all along though, that it wasn't going to happen in the lifetime of this Government? It's not like they've done a U-Turn at the last minute.

Katz may very well be worse than Gallant. Hopefully ICC add him to the list too.

    Israel Katz - lovely bloke…

    May 2024

"Ireland, if your goal was to reward terrorism by declaring support for a Palestinian state, you’ve achieved it. @SimonHarrisTD, Hamas thanks you for your service."

    March 2024

"UN Secretary-General @antonioguterres, stood today on the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing and blamed Israel for the humanitarian situation in Gaza, without condemning in any way the Hamas-ISIS terrorists who plunder humanitarian aid, without condemning @UNRWA that cooperates with terrorists - and without calling for the immediate, unconditional release of all Israeli hostages. Under his leadership, the @UN has become an antisemitic and anti-Israeli body that shelters and emboldens terror"

    October 2023

"I strongly oppose the opening of the blockade and the introduction of goods into Gaza on humanitarian grounds. Our commitment is to the families of the murdered and the kidnapped hostages - not to the Hamas murderers and those who aided them."

"Humanitarian aid to Gaza? No electrical switch will be turned on, no water hydrant will be opened and no fuel truck will enter until the Israeli abductees are returned home."

    November 2012

"When I see Palestinian citizens escaping into Sinai, the way Lebanese citizens escape toward Beirut when there is a round of fire against Israel -- we will then know that the deterrence has been achieved"

"There are no innocents in Gaza, don't let any diplomats who want to look good in the world endanger your lives -- mow them down!"

By "countries" you mean 3rd world dictatorships, genocidal terrorist regimes, Israel's pre-existing enemies and other associated s***holes, then yes, lots of "countries" can agree to put aside their own priority lists of carrying out their own genocides (like Russia and China) helping the first two with their genocides, being human rights violators or just being hellholes that barely have any functioning basic services.

If Russia, China, Iran, Venezuela etc are on one side of an issue, any right thinking person should probably be on the other.

Pity someone couldn't sack Nethanyu. An article i read today said he is going to escalate things with Iran if Trump gets in.

Russia and China have something in common with Israel. They are all human rights violators.

Any right thinking person would be opposed to all three.

That's a some list of human rights paradise countries..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,003 ✭✭✭✭Sand

Human rights? israel is carrying out a genocide.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,030 ✭✭✭xhomelezz

Should have said killing civilians? Or their own citizens... ? Etc. Whatever you prefer.

Edit: And all those are interested in "to immediately halt arms transfers to Israel" . What a surprise. Who is gonna ask for immediate stop to arms supplies to Hamás, Hezbollah, Houthi and list goes on..

looks like iran's old buddy trump is back - given that they were plotting to assinate him recently they may have to choose their next steps carefully

Trump wins. Should be great craic seeing him save Gaza anyway.

No, I don't think so. He told Bibi that he wants the war done and dusted by the time he gets into office, according to the Times of Israel last week. I'd expect to see serious sanctions on Iran going forward. I think this could be the beginning of the end to the war. Iran is not going to mess with a US led Trump. They'll sit tight and keep quiet for the next few years, I'd say. Doubt Bibi wants to get into an argument with Trump either, truth be told.

He also said he supports Israel going after Iran's nuclear sites. Bibi may feel emboldened now to up the ante even further. The only thing that might get Donald to rein in Israel is if further escalation risks drawing America directly into conflict with Iran. The one thing he seems to be averse to is the US being involved directly in wars abroad .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,327 ✭✭✭✭Donald Trump

    Do you think so?

Notoriously isolationist who doesn't want the US to be the world's policeman getting involved in various conflicts around the world. US withdrawal from JCPOA is why Iran are now suspected to be close to a viable nuke.

Your post is kinda more of "yay, go my team" than anything resembling logic.

Trump seems to view war as a waste of money. I think he'll opt to de-escalate but he'll give Israel a window; two months it appears according to the Israeli media, to reach an endgame stage in Gaza. It'll be America first, second and third with Trump. Bibi would be daft to push things with Trump. Ditto for Iran. What does the US gain if Israel strikes Iran's nuclear sites?
