    "I wouldn't"

Because you live in a dictatorship. You just proved what I've being saying for a while.

If there’s a landslide I’m thinking on the Harris side not the Trump side - nothing to indicate a Trump landslide but wouldn’t write him off just yet to win-but not by much - but certainly Harris has had a wave of support over last week - it should carry forward into next week too

Big swing in the betting markets back to Harris, Trump was close to 1/2 less than a week ago when I last checked.

I live in Ireland, it is not a dictatorship. The US is also not currently a dictatorship, I don't believe any posters are living in North Korea or Russia. So what dictatorship do you think they're living in?

And people are looking in completely the wrong direction with regard to that. Many more people are choosing other lifestyles that don't involve raising a family than in, say, the 1950s, and access to contraceptives is plentiful. There are far more opportunities to do other things in life than there was in the past and women, especially, are more economically independent, not needing to rely on a man to bring home the bacon. It's not a nefarious plan by the WEF to replace white people or that kind of nonsense you hear bandied about in conspiracy circles.

But the people worried about demographic change don't want to start cranking out babies. They don't want to be lumbered with that. They just want to get rid of everyone else. What they propose to do in order to then support a population with an inverted age pyramid, I'm not sure, but I expect it would be part of the volatility.

They are a different type of dictatorship. That poster called me brave for expressing an opinion, presumably because it's dangerous to express such an opinion. Why are actors in Hollywood afraid to say they support Trump if it's a democracy? Why are there shy Trump supporters if people can freely express their views and support whomever they like? Why do speakers require top level security at certain universities in order to be able to speak to students? Why have cars been burnt out, windows smashed, and fires started just because a person with whom students disagreed was invited to speak on campus? Does that really sound like a democracy to you?

And to link that to the topic under discussion, Harris and her party are the ones who have pushed all of that. All the Trump is Hitler stuff, and conservatives hate women, etc. That's why no one should support such an entity.

No one said you were brave for expressing an opinion.

And no one thinks it’s dangerous to express that opinion.

The only person up for election who has called Trump Hitler is his running mate.

Actors don't want to damage their reputation and make themselves unemployable. That's not a dictatorship.

The insurrection of the Capitol was by Trump supporters.. They tried to overturn an election. Shy Trump voters, maybe they're just a bit embarrassed by the guy they support that's on him. Nothing you've described amounts to a dictatorship. It just seems to be you upset by the fact alt right types are unpopular.

"Actors don't want to damage their reputation and make themselves unemployable". Ergo, they live in a dictatorship. How is that not at the very least a benign dictatorship? If you can't express your views and have to watch everything you say then how on earth can it be said that you live in a democracy?

I couldn't care less if they're unpopular. I just don't understand why people deny reality. If a speaker requires top level security to be able to speak on a university campus then there's something very wrong.

FFS, what sort of Z rated movie script or start up Libertarian Party rally manifesto is this.

Everything you say, there are examples of people all across the spectrum being affected and even if that wasn't the case, it still wouldn't imply that it was a dictatorship.

Do you even know the meaning of the word?

Then what would you call it? A flourishing democracy in which all opinions can be expressed freely and openly?

And I'm sure you know that it is conservative people who are most affected by it.

Trump's current VP pick called him "America's Hitler" not the Harris Campaign, his own VP pick.

Trump's former staff, including Milley & Kelly have called him a fascist, that appellation has been repeated by the Harris campaign and it fits both their experience of working for Trump & the actual behaviour of him.

Shy Trump supporters? The "**** your feelings" crowd are now worried that people not worry so much about their feelings? Or perhaps they're realising that standing behind a candidate who spouts dangerous, hateful & often racist rhetoric might colour people's opinions of them.

Quite odd that, suddenly discovering reasons to be a shy Trump supporter after his campaign.

Shy Trump supporters attacked the Capitol and chanted Kill Mike Pence. They held up official proceedings and disrupted the peaceful recording of the electoral college results and by extension impacted the peaceful transfer of power but, yeah, Shy.

As for Hollywood actors not wanting to align with Trump? Maybe they don't want to support a man who is on tape as being a proponent of just grabbing women by the pussy. Perhaps they feel that supporting a man who tried to usurp democratic power via an electoral con and then an insurrection might reflect poorly upon them.

Maybe they feel that by associating themselves with a convicted criminal? It's a sign that they are of poor character themselves.

Maybe they feel associating with the man that Epstein described as his "Best friend" while regaling Michael Wolff with stories of Trump being fond of young girls, of his friends wives and even where Don and Melania first fúcked on the Lolita Express...

Might, just might cause people to consider whether or not they are the actor they wish to hire.

Almost as if lying with dogs might result in fleas, or if you're Tucker Carlson? Demonic attacks 😉

Is boards a dictatorship? There's a lot of stuff you're not allowed say on boards.

Actually, have you any example of somewhere you wouldn't class as a dictatorship? Somewhere where you can say whatever you want, with no repercussions at all?

We are living in a democracy as we will show in a month by voting in the next government. To call this is a dictatorship is to insult the many countries thst don't benefit from this right.

US Presidential Winner, JD Vance 200/1.

I reckon the odds are better of Red Rum winning the Grand National next year.

Are they? I've seen library staff in the US and Ireland harassed because they don't like drag queens reading books or simply don't like the books. The prosecuting lawyer on one of the cases against Trump had a MAGA supporter plotting to kill him as a result of Trump's rhetoric. Jean E Carroll subject to numerous death threats as well.

And that's just a sampling. Then there's book burnings, bannings etc. The liberals aren't the ones doing any of that. Plus all the minorities who face increase threats on their well being due to the rhetoric of Trump and others.

Remember when Biden mentioned Crosshairs in the same sentence as Trump and his supporters, including some on here, went ballistic?

Now Trump says he doesn't mind if the media got shot and my bet is that it will be ignored or we will be told we don't understand what he really meant.

A much earlier post today asked why Trump would hold a rally like MSG as surely he knew the harm it could do.

He felt he was winning and after the disappointment of having to face Harris instead of Biden was yet again on course to win.

MSG was a victory parade. When they could finally say what they really felt boyed by the confidence of winning.

But I'm not saying it's the same as a China or a North Korea. I'm saying that it's a different type of dictatorship. One based upon political correctness. Another recent example is the pro-life society at Manchester University. Members of the society received death threats and had to have police protection. Just for being pro life.

By voting in the exact same government. Alternative viewpoints will be, as usual, ignored and demonised by the media. And posters will probably be torn down.

My point is that a vote for Harris and her horrible party is a vote for that kind of society.

But why do you keep focusing on a tiny number of Trump supporters? Millions of Trump supporters had nothing to do with any of that.

There is literally nowhere on the Earth you can speak your mind without repercussions.

The final NBC poll of the campaign is in and the results aren't great for Trump TBH.

Poll has him down 25% from his 2020 numbers amongst Black voters, 12% in 2020 Vs 9% in latest poll.

According to the final national NBC News poll of the 2024 presidential campaign, Trump, the GOP presidential nominee, is only earning 9 percent of Black support, lower than the 12 percent he received during the 2020 presidential election when he ran against Joe Biden.

Interesting times how the money in the betting markets almost expected this, isn't it 😉

It is not a dictatorship of any sort. You can't misuse an understand and recognised term for a form of government like a dictatorship and assign it to ireland.

If you think the government parties are voting in policies to silence you, you can vote them out. We live in a democracy.

There are over 3,000 "gods" worshipped daily worldwide. Do they all need a capital G? or it is just the one of the 3,000 you believe in, who needs a capital G?
