Is that the one that Reuters said was a doctored image?

The hard shoulder is a drive time show with current affairs, such as this segment.

When it comes to US politics, generally impartiality goes out the window with all Irish media regardless of any BAI code.

Which candidate do the polls say is ahead in Missouri?

One of the items which will be voted on along with the presidency is a measure which [edit] COULD put abortion in the state constitution. If passed, the Missouri ballot measure would establish the right to make reproductive care decisions – including about abortion – without interference up to fetal viability, around 22 to 24 weeks into pregnancy.

In September, state Supreme Court judges ordered Republican Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft to put the measure back on the ballot and to “take all steps necessary to ensure that it is on said ballot. Ashcroft is opposed to abortion and said he will always fight to save life.

This may well be a deciding factor for one section of Missouri's voters when considering whom they might vote for on Nov 5th. Trump will be in a bit of a bind as he is on the record of agreeing with the SCOTUS decision that each state should decide on abortion for itself.

deflecting to a broader complaint then however the comment was aimed squarely at the show sorry that deflection doesn’t purchase here.

When you’ve had to do little actual work all through your life because Daddy handed you a living, you’re body and energy holds up a lot better in your later years.

Do you understand the difference between one side insulting their opponents, and the other side insulting the electorate? OK? 🤔

according to an Emerson college poll (first poll that came up, not a swing state so just going with what I find), the republicans will take the state by double digits. However: it looks like voters will be majorly voting to adopt the amendment protecting abortion rights in the state, 58% to 30%

    https://emersoncollegepolling.com/september-2024-missouri-poll-republican-candidates-lead-in-president-governor-senate-races/

Seems strange to me so many in the state would still vote Republican but protect abortion when the GOPs platform is centrally to end abortion access. You’d think there’d be a significant defection.

really trying hard to split hairs there, the electorate who are cheering on Puerto Rican racism are opponents, and the opposition are voters.

Trump was the first one to tell us Joe Biden doesn’t even know what he’s saying anymore during the presidential debate.

Why the sudden change of heart from Trump?

This is either Einstein or Musk level gaslighting.

Einstein if there's an insight based on a fact that literally nobody else on the planet can comprehend, Musk if it's just complete BS that has no basis in reality.

Everyone who reads the post will assess it for what it is, while still reading it as gaslighting.

good news: the new numbers are out and inflation is well down to target for a thriving economy, 2.1%.

He really does come out with some mad stuff

With Trump you can usually see the political angle to his more off-the-wall contributions but Vance just seems to spout random crackpot theories

In the ever latest sign that the highly racist MSG rally has gone to MAGA’s head: In Pennsylvania - a state Trump must win to have a path to victory next week, some Trump supporters depicted Kamala Harris being dragged behind a vehicle in chains

"This appalling portrayal goes beyond the realm of Halloween satire or free expression; it is a harmful symbol that evokes a painful history of violence, oppression, and racism that Black and Brown communities have long endured here in America.

"We urge the event organizers and local leaders to implement clearer guidelines to prevent this type of hateful and hurtful display from occurring in the future. We also ask that they offer an apology and make a public commitment to anti-racist values that affirm the dignity and equality of all people."

    https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/pittsburgh/news/kamala-harris-chains-pennsylvania-halloween-parade/

If MAGA was trying to prove it’s not a racist or fascist movement full of garbage people it’s doing a garbage job of it.

They were shaking their heads over that story on CNN a few minutes ago and Anderson Cooper goes "I know a lot of 'normal gay guys' and I'm not sure they're breaking that way". David Axelrod slyly adds: "JD Vance seems to aswell"…

Gaslighting? Pfft! What a load of nonsense.

Trump didn't call Puerto Rico, another country, a floating island of garbage. A warm-up act did. An insult that was tame by the comedian's standards, that I acknowledged was wrong to make.

Biden, the US President has inferred that half of the US electorate are garbage. What are you failing to comprehend?

Trump didn't call Puerto Rico, another country, a floating island of garbage.

I’m going to say this again but in bold so you can’t possibly miss it this time:

Puerto Rico is not another country. And Donald Trump already called it and the rest of the United States, a “garbage can”.

Biden, the US President has inferred that half of the US electorate are garbage.

No, he didn’t. Trump has never had nowhere near half the electorate as supporters and not even all his supporters condoned the racism levied at Puerto Rico: ask Marco Rubio, Rick Scott, Peter Navarro, or the number of voters and people who supported and endorsed Trump before the rally but who now state they no longer shall.

You are not in a position to accuse of others of comprehension failure while you eg. Claim Puerto Rico is another country to the United States.

Inflation going down doesn't mean things are cheaper. It means they are not getting even more expensive faster.

Biden, the US President has inferred that half of the US electorate are garbage. What are you failing to comprehend?

That you don't realize that all of us have been watching and listening to Trump for 9 years now and you expect us to just ignore the reality of what we have seen. And that now you even use the word 'inferred' which tells me that you yourself knows that he didn't call half the electorate garbage.

We read a lot of this on this thread, stuff from Trump supporters that you have to think for a second is this actually real? Most of the time I reckon the people posting it know themselves that it isn't, but that it's a narrative that they have to push and so they do it.

Only you know for sure what your beliefs and motivations are, but if you expect us to believe that Trump or his side never insulted any of the electorate, then sorry, I'm not buying it.

We'll know next week how many in the US did.

… slow clap, did I say it did?

Or are you saying you think the economy should enter a recession. I think we know how people would react politically to that.

Just seen footage of Trump calling democratic voters garbage back in July.

Unbelievable the standard he gets held to compared to anyone else.

MAGA when Julia Roberts endorses Harris: “nobody listens to these people, it means absolutely nothing”

MAGA when Julia Roberts makes ad telling wives they can vote for Harris by secret ballot: they go into a complete meltdown about it and claim their wife would basically be having an “affair” if she cast a vote for Kamala

    https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4964265-kamala-harris-ad-julia-roberts/

“The backlash from certain men who are horrified to think their wives might disagree with them actually proves our point. We know the MAGA movement is putting increased pressure on people, but we also know the strong will of Americans when they stand in the voting booth,” said Executive Director Doug Pagitt.

“Our work is all about helping people do the thing in the voting booth that they know in their heart they want to do. We’ve traveled the country and met people all over who have a higher calling for their vote than just what their political party or friends demand of them,” he added. “We know they’ll think about who they love the most when they vote and not just what their political party or religious community tells them to do.

“Kamala Harris and her team believe that there will be millions of women that undermine their husbands and do so in a way that it’s not detectable in the polling,” he added.

So I guess those celebrity endorsements count for more than they were pretending, after all.

It’s a wonder MAGA wants to take away women’s suffrage eh.

Inflation ,according conventional economists is good for an economy

The alternative is deflation which is bad for its own reasons.

    High inflation is considered bad.

I can't remember what set off the last bout of inflation but I don't think it happened on Biden's watch (was it a side efffect of Covid?)

It seems to have come down to manageable ( possibly optimal) levels.

I don't know if Biden deserves any credit for that but he certainly didn't exacerbate the problem judging by the slow decline into acceptable territory

I'm sure you've got a link to prove this. "Let's look at the actual results during during his last presidency, because I actually think that matters. Whatever about what you say, what you heard, you didn't mention any names, any specifics, other than someone said". That's what Deeter said. Sound familiar?

So if this footage is provided to you, what will your reaction be?

Will it be bad if Trump referred to Democrat voters as garbage and scum?
