    Yup.

As you've argued he will just cut off funding and do nothing else.

This will lead to more war and death and even more abuses of human rights by Russia, and will allow them to continue similar aggressive policies in other places knowing that Trump won't support the other side.

China will also take note that the US will abandon their allies when they are considering their invasion of Taiwan.

So I'm not sure how you conclude that Trump being elected would be good for European Security. Seems more like you're arguing for the opposite.

    I still think:

The polls are being manipulated to make the race appear closer than it is. Look at the difference between the RCP polling and 538 polling.

The betting market is being manipulated to make it appear that Trump is the leading candidate.

Trumps polling numbers could be as much as 20% less than they are now. Look at the Republican nominations, and the poll numbers, Vs the actual numbers that voted for Trump. They have consistently overvalued Republican support since they got it so wrong in 2016. Red wave? Remember that?

It's also a lot easier to get people to vote for "the winning side" than it is to back a long shot. If the polls and betting markets have been rigged as I suspect they have, it will lead to more votes as people are like sheep after all.

I still believe in the secret non-Trump voters. The ones that say they'll vote for him, but in the quiet of the polling booth, admits that he would be appalling candidate to be president

I don't think the republican nominations make a difference, it was almost a dead cert it would be Trump.

However on the polling, is the person asked first what political party they are aligned to? If so, would it not be hard for a republican (who plans to vote for Harris) to admit they are a republican voting for her? Unless the phone polls are all automated, press * for this, # for that etc…

I had assumed she would have wisconsin and Michigan pretty much nailed down at this stage, so Penn alone would get her over the line; instead it seems all three are on a knife-edge…

I hope you'd accept my congratulations for calling this, should your reckoning turn out correct after the polls close. 'til then, nails will be bitten, virtual and real.

A trump victory could have huge consequences for FDI in Ireland

We heard all those warnings before his first presidency though, and pretty much nothing happened. In general I'm skeptical about Trump using the presidency to do anything radically disruptive, as that would require exertion, something he has never had much enthusiasm for, and is probably barely capable of now…

Youd have to wonder, What are trumps followers going to think if he gets in and he doesn't do any of the things he promised.

Will they pardon him? Are they that bad?

He was already in for 4 years, and he made America Great Again, and built an impenetrable border wall…

Same as last time I imagine.

Remember how he was supposed to lock Hillary up? And the border wall that Mexico was going to pay for? Draining the swamp?

We're seeing now the excuses that all that stuff was blocked by the deep state, or Trump was naive and appointed the wrong people. Or the promises were just forgotten about entirely.

It will be the same again for any failure or misstep he might have as president. It will never be his fault. Nor will it be his fault of he loses. We'll start to hear about election stealing again.

Oh come on. There is plenty to criticise Trump about without resorting to that. That can happen to anyone.

But a few months ago we had Trump supporters leaping on anything and everything Biden misspoke as proof positive of mental decline.

That stuff could also happen to anyone. So why extend this kind of understanding to Trump when it isn't to anyone else?

In the 90’s I met carpenters who worked on a house / apartment of hers in NYC . Everyday was an orgy .

So they faked him working at McDonald’s.

How do you fake work, cooking fries and serving customers?

    Untitled Image

When you spend only 15 mins at work, **** up cooking the fries and dotn actually serve real customers with no pressure to actually do any of that well.

Again if Harris had been doing this, you would be telling us how obviously fake it was.

With that oompa loompa make up on his face he should have faked working in a chocolate factory instead.

Very simple, it's effectively a photoshoot, why people are getting worked up about it I'll never know. It is fake but any of these stunts are fake to a degree on either side of the aisle.

To be fair to Trump, that's the first picture of him in months he actually looks healthy and altogether.

Fully agree with this. Its neither genius like some have suggested or stupid like others.

Its a cheap but funny photoshoot.

It was as real as Schwarzenegger being a cyborg, coming back from the future to kill a woman called Sarah Connors.

Come on man, do you think Trump "worked" in a McDonalds now?

    They weren't customers either.

You can't close a business down for a day, bring people in and call them customers.

It was a fake PR stunt. It's insane if you can't see that.

By having the franchise owner, who incidentally is a Trump supporter, close his restaurant down for the day until 4PM to the public and have Trump supporters only in as customers drive through to pick up their orders with reporters there to record and publicize the event for his campaign.

“Will you accept the results of the election?” asked a reporter.

“Yeah, sure, if it’s a fair election,” the apron-clad Trump declared, his head fully poking out of the drive-thru.

Fake customers, Fake PR, Fake work..

He's a marketing genius, Come on Corn Pop surely you can see that. He's grabbed global headlines made McDonalds share holders some money and blown the he's incapable fake news push to bits.

Except for the Irish independent who've taken a completely different angle pushing a hush up conspiracy. They're not even trying at this stage.

He's lucky that McDonalds does hire convicted felons.
And kudos to Trump for doing his first day of actual work in his life.

PS: The McDonalds was closed while Trump "worked". No actual customers were served. It was just a photo op. Maybe check your sources again, here's a fairly neutral link that you might enjoy.

In important facts that should have an effect if there are attempts at another Jan 6 2021 event, there is this law [S. 4573] brought through Congress and signed into law by Biden on 29 Dec 2022.

S.4573, the Electoral Count Reform and Presidential Transition Improvement Act, is designed to reform the process by which Congress counts Electoral College votes to avoid a repeat of the events of Jan. 6, 2021. The law

    • Clarifies that the role of the vice president is purely ceremonial,
    • Raises the threshold for members of Congress to initiate objections to electoral results to one-fifth of each chamber,
    • Ensures there is one conclusive slate of electors from each state
    • And outlines a process for expedited court review of election results.

In September 2022, the Senate Rules Committee additionally amended the law to

    • Make U.S. Supreme Court review of any federal litigation over the certification of state electors discretionary rather than mandatory,
    • Ensure the judicial review procedure provided in the act doesn’t exclude litigation in other state and federal courts
    • And clarify the language around certification of electors to specify that during the counting of electoral college votes, Congress must treat the electors certified by a state and modified by any state or federal court relief as conclusive.
