The hypocrisy - you've made it clear that you're more than happy for 40,000 civilians to cease to exist.

Just watched Life and Death in Gaza on BBC2. It's followed the lives of men women and children in Gaza in the year since the war started. They used their own smart phones or cameras to film themselves.

It was beyond heartbreaking. Regardless of where your loyalty lies in this conflict, you couldn't but be moved by the sights and sounds these people have ensured. A baby only a few months old, who has never had a day in her life that wasn't peppered with the sounds of bombs and explosions. There were children under 5, playing ambulance. A rag doll with it's belly ripped open being operated on. The terminology used wasn't children playing. It was children remembering, reliving.

Trapped in their own country. There is no safe place. No expectation that's they'll live through the next 24 hours. No hope. No future.

I don't care about the terminology used in the media, or here. Call it genocide or don't. Call it extermination or don't.

Its horrific. It's barbaric. It's evil.

And stealing land in the WB.

And detaining innocent people inc children without trial.

And murdering anyone who looked crooked at them.

Israel has absolutely no morals and definitely no shame. A country built on crime and savagery.

Watched Netanyahu on the News. He's the image of his buddy Putin. Also very alike in their methods of murdering.

Ben Gvir talking about the strike back plan against the Mullahs praised Bibi for being very courageous, if he is happy then it really is going to be a bad period for the Clergy of Iran.

To paraphrase Marty Morrissey there won't be a gay hung or a woman beat in Tehran that evening.

You cannot be surprised that Israel have finally reacted.

Same could be said about the Palestinians - you cant be surprised that they reacted on October the 7th.

For years Israel has had Palestines balls in a vise - continually tightening that vise until something had to give.

Its horrendous the way they treated the people of Palestine. Turning off their water, turning off the power, not allowing humanitarian aid in - the list goes on. As mentioned before Palestine is the worlds largest open air prison.

October the 7th didnt happen for no reason - if you keep treating people like sub-humans then eventually they will fight back.

Prior to Oct 7th Israel was getting relaxed, enjoying peace and trading more and more with Gaz and all it's neighbours, they had other ideas though.

Have you links to back that up?

From memory the only "neighbours" that Israel trade with are the ones they consider as having "normal" relations with - Egypt and Jordan.

As for trading with Gaza - its a very one sided affair as Israel block Palestinian exports and as such Palestine has no choice but to buy goods from Israel.

However Israel will allow Palestinians work in their service industries at a very much reduced level of wages - roughly a third less than a similar job for an Israeli - not to mention they have to pay for a work permit each month - around 600 euros.

Discriminated against even though they arent involved with either Hamas or Hezbollah.

Biden has said the Israeli,s must improve conditions in gaza as the present situation is not good or words to that effect

I've seen more coverage of the 4 isreali soldiers killed than any coverage given to dozens of Palestinians and Lebanese.

We get their names, the opinions of friends and relations. Back storeys of their life yet we hear nothing about the deaths they caused and were going to cause on the opposite side.

They have managed to manipulate media coverage all across the western world, creating an illusion that they're like us, that they have the same values and goals when nothing could be further from the truth. Just a massive mistake made by Britain and the US in the wake of WW2 which launched the middle east into a spiral of endless wars and violence and one that neither of the instigators are willing to withdraw any support.

The only thing Biden ever said that he followed up on was "I am a Zionist".

Ukraine and the Palestinians have more in common seeing as they are both resisting occupiers. You are right though Israel has taken its cue from Russia. We shouldn't be surprised considering your friend Bibi has expressed admiration for Putin in the past.

Through Intel. Well we may need to diversify in the long run considering they have been overtaken by other companies in the chip market and missed out on the AI train. We can find other sources of revenues longer term. In a robust economy we should not be beholden to one company anyway.

Back to using the same childish deflection again ,Danzy.

Look your honour I may have seriously assaulted this man, but that guy over there is a murderer! Ok Sir you are free to go!

The US had a bad reputation in the Middle East before the days of Saddam. You might remember the overthrow of the democratically elected leader of Iran in the 50s by Britain and America. You presumably think that was wrong as well as other occasions when American Governments overthrew democratic governments in various parts of the world.

Except I gave you links which detail the actions they took before, during and after the war to expel Arabs. And this is a problem, because if you're presented with evidence and won't look at it, is there any reason that I should even bother? Are you just someone who's so far down the rabbit hole that you're incapable of thinking critically.

I can't see the tweet in the post, but I can see the URL in the reply. And I can't click on or copy the URL. I was baffled by the post? Which woman? Which job?

Basically she is saying that post 7th October Palestine has no right to exist. A declaration from Israel that the objective is to eliminate Palestine or any notion that a two state solution existing

So does Israel have a right to exist given this, which is what kunsberg is saying in the tweet.

Not sure if it is browser settings as that tweet embeds for me. Try this link

    https://x.com/LKTranslator/status/1846166010912543140

The link shows the Israeli ambassador to the UK (sectarian supremacist Tzipi Hotovely) on Sky News yesterday stating there should be no two state solution and Palestine has no right to exist. This woman was shown the red carpet last month at the UK Labour Party conference. The commentator who posted the tweet stated that if a person was on air stating there should be no two state solution and Israel has no right to exist, they would be banned from ever appearing on air again (and possibly charged with hate speech)

    If you want the honest truth, the Western powers aren't lying when they say the Israeli's share their values, it's just that isn't exactly the badge of honour they like to think it is;

    • Colonialism
    • Subjugation of indigenous peoples
    • Genocide
    • Dehumanization
    • Ethnic cleansing
    • etc, etc, etc

Virtually all countries/global leaders who unequivocally back the Israeli's have either engaged in this through the years or have been benefactors of these policies. The one exception I can see is the Spanish to be fair to them.

Spanish are the biggest mass murderers of their coloneys in history. They are washed in blood.

I mean really? Do you know the difference between Gaza and Palestine? Take some time to look at some of the walking tours in places like Ramallah or read some of the tourist reviews online and you'll find the above was just not true. I visited Jerusalem and we were able to get a bus to Ramallah. Ramallah was a very nice city.

Am Yisrael Chai - Bring them home.

My point being….. the one former colonial power not backing Israel is the Spanish.

October the 7th wasn't them 'fighting back', there was no 'fighting'. It was HAMAS showing their true colours and hatred of Jews by slaughtering them up close and personal.

I'd suggest maybe rewatching some of the videos from that day. You won't see any fighting. What you will see is innocent Jewish people being executed en mass at a music festival and in their homes. Joyously, may I add. HAMAS literally enjoyed themselves that day.

And I know, we can do the 'wellwhatabout' the people in Gaza being killed in their homes by bombs. And you know what? I think that's terrible too.

But there's no excusing what happened on the 7th of October. The level of brutality and joy from the brutalisers was animalistic. Trying to somehow pass it off as 'freedom fighters fighting back' is just plain wrong.

You won't find anyone on here declaring that Oct 7th was the right thing to do, or justified in any way. However, one year on and Israel's inhumanity is on full display for all to see. The time for an unconditional ceasefire and protection of civilian life is long, long overdue.
