The question was; Which of them is the biggest spoofer, what's your answer?

The literal election results wasn't enough to convince Trump supporters he lost the last time round, so I'm not sure if county margins in an ongoing vote should be relied on as a strong indicator for what the final result will be.

Doesn't matter what I think nor you, you don't understand how countless millions of people could come to that conclusion are they all wrong and you right?

Barrack and kamala stabbed Biden in the back and Now Biden is doing the same to Kamala. Such a divided party in an identity crisis

    Hahaha.

One is a one term president, a convicted felon, was impeached twice, stole secret documents, is on his third wife, screwed a porn star and is a failed businessman.

But yeah, they are exactly the same.

You're not living in the real world.

Douglas Adams once wrote of a planet on which humans are ruled by lizard overlords. There’s a paradox: the planet is a democracy, the humans hate and outnumber the lizards and yet the lizards always get elected. It turns out the humans vote for the lizards for a simple reason: “If they didn’t ... the wrong lizard might get in.”

People have a history of electing the wrong leaders, its not a new thing.

Yeah, they did it in 2016. And it could happen again, fingers crossed it won't.

I don't know. I would have to hear and objective argument to decide.

But you can't even offer what that might be.

The junk right wing polling outfits are part of the groundwork for the post-election “stop the steal’” ‘oh but the polls said we’d win what is this? Must be rigged’ etc., get their base ginned up, take that judge shopping, bla bla bla.

It doesn't matter what you or I think, it really **** doesn't mate …….and lets be honest you and I know you decided some time ago and nothing changes it, be honest about it

you can go round the houses on internet message boards and social media talk and talk all you like, it doesn't matter in the scheme of things

Let's just remember you're the guy who consistently endorses the hateful lizard. Makes remarks about Haitians eating dogs, he doesn't fall on your estimates for anything that he does. That's the consistent thing about Trump supporters in this thread although some are almost uncomfortable admitting they're actually supporters of Trump.

Guardian 10 day polling average tracker sees DT being returned

If that were to be replicated when voters go to the polls on 5 November, it would get Trump past the 270 electoral college votes threshold needed for victory and propel him back to the Oval Office.

Trump has been on the scene politically speaking 9 years now, actually even a bit longer as he started that birtherism sh*t with Obama before that.

And it was not hard to see what he had to offer, absolutely I formed an opinion then and nothing he has done since that has changed the dial in the other direction.

And who suggested that my opinion or any other on a discussion forum matters in any significant way, I certainly didn't. But does that mean I can't have or express it?

In which way do you see an underperformance in vote-returns for him in one county be telling for him: an omen of disaster or a spur for his supporters in the other counties to pull their fingers out? How soon after the voting is closed do you see the voting margins being accurately revealed?

All seven show minuscule differences between the candidates that are within the margin of error. Crucially, Harris enjoys just three – fractional leads in Nevada and Michigan, and a slim one-point advantage in Pennsylvania.

Trump has wafer-thin leads in the five remaining swing states.

Something off there, that five should be four no? But yeah if Trump took Wisconsin, Georgia, Arizona and NC as predicted there he would win without Penn…

Jesus, another two days of car crash alternative facts posts, thinly veiled racism and misogyny. It's just going to keep getting worse until the results of the election are known.

It's a shocking indictment of US society that Trump is within an asses roar of getting a second shot at POTUS. Leaving aside his millionaire and billionaire supporters who mainly want him in the Whitehouse for whatever monetary benefit they can squeeze out of him; it's the average US voter who should be center stage in this debacle.

There really seems to be a good chunk of Americans who want some sort of Gilead/ fantasy 1950s America that they think failed human being Trump will usher in. They want it so much so they don't have to disguise their fears, prejudices and abhorrent views anymore; that they will ignore just what a danger Trump is to the US and the rest of the Globe. The small core of Trumpists who worship him like a god want the same things too but can't see his awfulness; so oddly I give them a pass.

Even if Harris manages to win, can the US ever grow up, face it's significant social problems that have led so many to support Trump despite knowing what he is? If it can't, then the next election will have some more palatable version of Trump continue the devolution of the country. It's a problem bigger than Trump v Harris. It's a problem for the rest of world too as demonstrated by Brexit for example and those emboldened supporters of Trump on this tread. Its worrying times indeed. The recent example of threats to scientists from conspiracy nutters encouraged by Trump and his supporters illustrates this worry succinctly. How do you even begin to come back from that level of insanity?

Nice play from the Harris camp here.

“The statement on Harris’s health came on Saturday as Trump has become increasingly incoherent at campaign rallies, something the Guardian US reported on earlier in October. He has been slurring, stumbling over his words, hurling expletives – and showing signs of cognitive decline consistent with someone approaching his 80s, according to medical experts.”

And this little laugh as well…

“Recent speeches have seen him rant about topics ranging from his purportedly “beautiful” body to “a million Rambos” in Afghanistan.”, something a very stable person would say. He is overweight, not exactly a beacon of health.

“Trump’s first physical as president resulted in perhaps the most detailed overview of his health to date. According to the Times, the physical flagged “worryingly high” cholesterol and a body mass index that left him 0.1 points below the threshold for medical obesity.”

    Body of a million Rambos?

I think there is 7 states that are characterised as swing ones, guess that is where they got 5.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,590 ✭✭✭✭Frank Bullitt

”The crumb of comfort for Harris is that, with multiple surveys telling contradictory tales when the details are scrutinised, that particular outcome probably won’t happen.

Indeed, a simulation using polling, economic and demographic data from FiveThirtyEightstill had Harris winning the election 55 times out of 100, as of Thursday lunchtime. And a Wall Street Journal survey on Friday also painted a brighter outlook by showing Harris maintaining slight leads in Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and Georgia – enough to give her a narrow electoral college win if borne out on polling day.”

at this point I’m more interested in seen people get off their asses and seeing real effort on the ground knocking on doors and arranging transport to and from polling stations in key swing states - lord knows the dems have the money - if they don’t win then quite frankly they’ve failed as a party because they’ve been given as many breaks in this election possible - it’s now solely down to them to implement the bleeding obvious - stormtroopers on the ground

arranging transport to and from polling stations in key swing states

You don't think the absolute Ghouls in the GOP haven't thought of that.

You can be arrested for it.

Pretty much this. Turnout is now key to winning on either side, but in particular for the Dems who tend to command a better % of the vote if they can get them out. Most people have likely made thier minds up now, and they haven’t they might not even be of the mind to vote at all.

So the campaigns need to get the vote out and in the case of the Dems they’ll need to get around every dirty trick the GOP have deployed to surpress the Dem vote and ensure that election interference by MAGA doesn’t happen.

Harris, Walz and anyone else out campaigning for the ticket should probably now focus on keeping the electorate interested and excited about voting in a few weeks.

Fully this, I’m sure (I hope) it is their strategy to just keep boots on the ground and encourage people to get to the ballot box. Her favourably with younger voters is also huge, so getting them to register alone will be huge. They’ve got the funding, might as well use it

Is Donald unraveling ? He can’t take the pressure ? Is that why he canceled 60 minutes and a second debate ? His tactics seem just to be spew acid bile at anyone who will listen….. what will he say next ?

Doesn't matter if he in unravelling, those who are locked in to voting for him, would still do so even if he shot up a school, or died.

And really, he has more paths to victory than Harris has right at this moment.

I can only hope he does an Alex Salmond in the very near future.

warned and 3 day ban applied
