208 in thurles, 307 in croke park. Season tickets have been more or less best seats in the house in Gaelic grounds/ thurles/pairc ui chaoimh and croke park over the last number of years.

Great tickets this year. We got 305 for the All ireland Final. Had excellent tickets for Munster Final and All Ireland SF also. In fairness, I do know of some holders that got 301 and 302 for the Final.

Secretary of my club has informed me that the hurling ticket price will be raised to the price of the football ticket (up €10) and that an additional price hike is being considered overall.

He also heard that the possibility of only offering the Club+ version was discussed.

Disappointing news on the way I’d imagine, just a matter of how disappointing it will be. We’ll see.

How much were they this year?

    140 for hurling and 150 for football. Club+ was 250 I think?

€10 difference between the two as the league offers two more games in football but hurling counties will get an extra league game from next year.

Still sore after them removing the 'free/added Championship games'

Season tickets will not be an option in the next few years. They aren’t making any money off it and it’s probably hindering them from charging more for some matches.

Will always be there but they are definitely chipping away at the attractiveness and making more expensive. For the likes of me an exile from Limerick in Kildare they are great. Many of the Munster championship games sell out now so without the season tickets it would be very difficult to get tickets. My 3 ST this year will be adult tickets so 420e if they dont up the price which is spicy but I still consider it worth it in the long run for what you get out of it.

Its only real value if you go to away games and the expense of travelling and possibly accommodation all adds up.

They get the money for all the league games, when people do not go to them all. The season ticket holder now pays the regular price for championship games, so it is hard to see how it affects what they charge.

If you do not live in the county then you are not well positioned to get tickets from clubs for provincial finals and the like, so the season ticket is a good option.

Do they define what a 'dedicated fan' is? I didn't see it.

Must attend 6 championship games (football) or rather buy the tickets!.

Yes,this is correct,it was the same last year.

I have been a season ticket holder for years and am happy to renew, I am considering upgrading to the club option but have a few questions. Does it guarantee you access to any club game in both codes, and does it include matches under the divisional boards? I am from Limerick if anyone wants to share their experiences. Thanks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 424 ✭✭Pandiani

It covers both codes but it doesn't include matches under divisional boards. It is good value as an add on, its €150 for club pass on its own, €110 as an add on to inter county season ticket. If you go to a lot of club matches its a no brainer. This weekend I will go to one intermediate game and one senior game which would cost €27. That would be a quarter of it paid for over 2 matches.

In Kerry it does cover the divisional games, I know we used it last year for the North Kerry football championship, we have never used it for hurling games so I don’t know if it covers them or not. Last year it didn’t cover the county football final but it did cover the Junior, Junior premier, intermediate and senior finals.

I did hear that once you upgrade to a club plus you can’t downgrade but I’m not 100% sure on that. We get great value out of ours, often going to 3/4 games a weekend.

You can downgrade alright, I did last year as living in Dublin with a Limerick season ticket and realistically wasn't getting down to enough club matches for it to make sense.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,202 ✭✭✭HBC08

I believe you couldn't downgrade in the past but you can now.

I did it last year as the Club plus isn't worth it for me anymore.

The whole season ticket scheme has been totally devalued since Covid anyway. However I'll hang in there with my two tickets in case of an all Ireland appearance.

Good to know that you can downgrade it, it’s worth it at the moment to us but that could change in the future. Thanks for that.

Armagh, Dublin and Mayo in football and Limerick in hurling sold out.

Does anyone know how many is the limit?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 5,687 ✭✭✭finbarrk

I heard it was 5,000 before. But I'm not certain if it is. Bought one myself on Monday.

    Cork hurling renewal only now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,279 ✭✭✭Charles Babbage

It does shed some light on one of the largest counties building a new stand holding 3000. If it is 5000 then this is about 5% of the GAA population of Armagh and 4% of the population of Mayo and 2.5% of the population of Limerick.

Edit: it seems more likely that the limit is 3500.

Yes is the answer here I think. I have 3 Limerick tickets. I am originally from there but living in Kildare. My club membership is in Kildare and thats what I supplied when signing up but there was no issue.
