    Sure! I get it!

i speak hysterical gibberish, while you, on the other hand, are a very serious minded individual who likes to defend conspiracy theorists who think a shadowy 'Zionist' elite rules the world.

Any examination of conspiracy theories reveals that they thrive by offering simple explanatory narratives to complex issues.

Seeing as you've fallen for the 'Zionist's rule the world conspiracy theory', i can only assume that despite your bluster you're rather simplex yourself.

BTW, as Danzy pointed out, I see the 'Mask slipped' and you're now as happily posting about Jewboots as Sands. Says everything really.

Very dangerous times and extremely close to an all out war which could go global. A lot of posturing is happening but I don't think that Iran would put themselves in this position if they can just be levelled with strikes now to their nuclear facilities and oil fields. I think they showed they can do serious harm with their missiles with their last showing. A lot got through and they were very precise. They were trying to show Israel that they can pretty much destroy its infrastructure with a few thousand missiles flung at them all at once. I don't think Russia and China can allow Iran to be taken out and have a puppet regime installed there at this point either.

Why is this the main headline news story on RTE's six one on what seems a daily basis, like day after day after day ….sure it's a big news story but is there nothing else in the world? what's Ireland's relation to either country (is Palestine a country?) apart from Irish media's very left leaning ties with those who like to parade around with Palestine flags and keffiyehs around their necks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,354 ✭✭✭radiospan

It's funny to ask what's Ireland's involvement on the one day that it's come closer to Ireland than at any point since October 7th.

Hamas! The most 'Freedom Fightery' grand bunch of lads you'll ever meet, killing more Jews in a single day since World War 2, and hiding out in more tunnels than an ant farm, to bring peace, prosperity and freedom to the Palestinian people (including sheep, and especially goats; You know what i mean, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, nod, nod,).

We can all do this. Adds nothing to the conversation.

Yes I know and there are 30,000 people working in UNRWA. Israel have killed over 200 of them too.

Israel wanted to block aid to UNRWA which would have led to even more death and disease.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,952 ✭✭✭dmcdona

I'm just quoting what Israel and the IDF say about themselves. And yes, IDF snipers did in fact kill sheep.

Where did you get your quotes from?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,546 ✭✭✭Quitelife

Israel won’t stop killing until someone takes them on …. Shooting down all the cctv around the UN posts today … wouldn’t be a great surprise if they start killing UN soldiers next ….

    Israel the evil bloodthirsty country

    Do you condemn Kkkkahhamass?

Any more year old "articles" from zionist propaganda mouthpieces trying to shout down calls for killing to stop? Keep 'em coming.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,804 ✭✭✭yagan

Land thirsty I would say. The people they slaughter are no more than weeds to be sprayed.

Then slowly their Zionists settlers move in, and the state keeps expanding.

They will only stop when they are stopped.

Time to pull out Irish troops, observation can be done by satellites and drones.

If you've actually been reading the posts on here you'll know that nobody supports Hamas so your post is pretty pointless

Time the the UN security Council to change the force's mandate there and to put more boots on the ground and equip them properly to defend themselves.

So how did Israel end up with 3340 hostages, hundreds of them children, pre-Oct 7th??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 272 ✭✭SpoonyMcSpoon

Genocide agains innocent children can never be excused. And personally I struggle to understand how a country with something as spectacular as the iron dome cannot stop a few lads in flying suits crossing over in the air. It doesn’t add up but it still does not excuse the genocide against innocent children on such a horrific scale. This act by Israel should be written about like Srebenica or Rwanda in the history books.

Problem is, the US would veto it, same way if they wanted to pull the UN troops out, Russia would veto that.

You forgot - '' They have only their President to blame''.

Surely the same comments can be made about the Russian and Ukraine crisis; why the hell should we care so much when they aren’t even in the EU? It has been truly bizarre to see it so prominent over here, same with Palestine Israel; they have been fighting for as long as I can remember. It’s probably just the US influence and us being forced to care about what the US cares about.

War crimes and not a word of condemnation by the Israeli lackeys here.

Blood thirst from Israel and the cult who support them

Did you have the same problem with the Ukraine war dominating the headlines in the first year of the war. Was there nothing else RTE could be reporting on. Stop being disingenous sonofenoch and just say you don't like RTE being critical of Israel because you are an Israeli apologist. You'd prefer we didn't know about your friends firing at UN buildings.

It's interesting that Israel hasn't struck back against Iran. This tells me that the true extent of damage from the last Iranian attack was significant. Israel will never admit the level of damage. Their is also the U.S influence which may be being brought to bear on Netanyahu.

The killing of Haniyeh and Nasrallah showed that Israel is not interested in either peace or the release of their hostages in Gaza. Their genocide in Gaza and attack on Lebanon has caused them PR damage which is likely unrepairable.

Militarily Israel must be stretched. Hamas in Gaza hasn't been tamed. Hezbollah in the north are a much greater military force. Sure Israel can bomb and blitz places but on the ground I don't think they are a match for Hezbollah. Their is also the fatigue factor which must be in place by now after a year of military action.

The Israeli economy is haemorrhaging. Their ports are bankrupt. People are leaving. Investment has dried up and tourism is dead. The cost of the war is massive. This is a war Israel cannot win and is likely to put it's very existence in peril even with unstinting backing from the U.S.

Many children are held held without charge or trial. In the West Bank, Palestinians are subject to Military Law.

"Up to August 2013, 193 minors were imprisoned, and according to  The Economist "nearly all" were "brought to court in leg shackles and handcuffs.

Al Jazeera reported that between 2000-2023, 12,000 children have been detained by Israeli forces.

In 2023, at least 880 Palestinian children have been detained by the IDF."

    • On 20 March 2010, Moatasem Nazzal, a 16-year-old Palestinian was arrested at his home in Qalandiya refugee camp without explanation and remained imprisoned until 26 December 2010.
    • On 17 December 2011, Israel arrested Khader Adnan for "activities that threaten regional security" - he painted grafitti on a wall. While Adnan was a member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Israel did not accuse Adnan of direct involvement in any attacks by the group. Israeli officials did not charge him with any crime. After Adnan went on a hunger strike, the Israeli justice ministry announced that he would be released. This announcement reportedly cancelled a judicial review of the Israeli practice to hold prisoners without trial.
    • On 21 November 2015, Palestinian journalist Muhammad al-Qiq was put on administrative detention, allegedly for "terror activity". His case gained notoriety as he went on a hunger strike to protest his detention. He was released on 19 May 2016 after enduring a 94-day hunger strike and without having been charged with any crime.
    • On 15 June 2016, Bilal Kayed was placed under administrative detention after being released from a 15-year-long prison sentence. Kayed went on a hunger strike and eventually reached a deal with Israeli authorities to be released at the end of the six months.
    • On 3 April 2017, a 16-year-old boy Nour Issa was placed under administrative detention for four months (subsequently extended to seven) on charges of "incitement on Facebook".

In August 2023, 1,264 Palestinians were held in administrative detention in Israel, without charge or trial, the highest number in three decades.

After the start of the 2023 Israel–Hamas war, the number of Palestinians held in administrative detention rose from 1,319 to 2,070 between 1 October 2023 and 1 November 2023.

The number of prisoners in administrative detention continued to increase to 3,291 in January 2024.

They don't need to change the mandate.

1701 is clear, it was voted through unanimously by the security council.

Right now instead of hiding in bunkers as the Regime try to murder them, they should be driving them out.

Again not blaming the troops for that, it's cowardice from HQ.

And today Israel fires on UN peacekeepers who may as well have been Irish.

Disgraceful behaviour from the IDF today - there could have been more casualties.. Israeli ambassador should be thrown out of the county by way of a protest.

Israel again sticking up 2 fingers to the UN.Where does it stop?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,327 ✭✭✭✭Donald Trump

The thing is, and you wouldn't know it to read the media coverage, but Israel has violated that particular resolution literally thousands of times.

Here is a website listing 22k+ violations. Only up to 2022 though. So it doesn't include all the recent ones even.

    https://www.airpressure.info/

But the zionists really do have some nerve quoting UN resolutions when they have been ignoring any made "against" what they are themselves doing.

Well, the UN is obviously biased against Israel. Also, judging by the number of unpaid parking tickets by UN diplomatic plates, plenty of countries in the UN are corrupt. Some countries are highly corrupt, according to the data. And the agenda by some, e.g. Ireland, in their bias against Israel, is not example subtle. It is clear as day. Bias is bad, why be biased?
