    She's not promising violence.

    Do you take everything literally?

When a politician says they're going to beat someone, they're not talking about taking a baseball bat to them. Likewise, if a politician says there'll be a brawl, it'll be verbal.

Kamala Harris getting a massive ovation on the Stephen Colbert show last night with them chanting her name.

Is this a normal reaction Americans give to politicians?

Possibly not but it might give Trump a new idea for his rallies seeing as he does not do TV show events now.

Biden called out Trump and MTG on their lies and misinformation a few mins ago in his broadcast for storm Milton.

NYP. You're using the bloody New York Post as a source.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,367 ✭✭✭✭hotmail.com

It did seem odd. An insight into American idiocy to chant the name of a politician.

Can't imagine anything remotely similar in Europe.

Me walking in and seeing posters suggest hurricanes are man made...

And their citation for the story is a broken web link.

In other words they have no evidence.

It's a bit cringe, people just tend to project all their hopes and dreams on to the party candidate. Conversely, everything wrong with the world is projected onto the opponent.

I've just seen Biden's address now, hadn't a clue what you were on about, Trump is playing them so hard it's hilarious and they keep falling for it😂 😂 😂 😂 😂...

warned and 1 day forum ban for repeated low level trolling

Ah you are having a laugh now. "It failed", can you take the hint on what you just said yourself?

Honestly, that someone is even suggesting that hurricanes can be man-made or manipulated is just bonkers. MTG puts out a tweet that the dems are somehow involved and then we get people clambering over themselves to bring up experiences from the 1950's to try and give some merit to it all.

Maybe George Soros is behind it all, right?

Trump is? Is that why he is ranting about the 60 minute interview Harris gave…but won't give one himself?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,036 ✭✭✭✭drunkmonkey

Please keep up to date with the rants some of us are living in the now, it's Biden going off on one this time.

We're not trying to get political with the hurricane, but Trump🤣...you can't pay for that kinda advertising from Biden.

are you saying someone has manipulated these hurricanes to be worse to impact the election?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,936 ✭✭✭✭Frank Bullitt

That tactic won't work, my friend.

Playing this card to try shift from the claim that hurricanes could be man-made. Give over.

Last time I checked, Biden isn't running anymore, this isn't a gotcha at all.

You are the one insinuating that hurricanes could be man-made, MTG tweeted about that, and now more and more are. It is weird.

That B&H would be all competent and professional in their disaster management, hopefully everything Trump isn't in the minds of voters. I'm guessing that's the 'thesis'…

There's no gotcha, look what I replied to, the op had obviously seen Biden's address I'm assuming or miss Greene make some comment. Then I watched Biden unknowingly but understood what they meant then and boy was it funny.

People think Trump's an idiot. Biden and Kamala should have read the art of the deal then they'd understand how bad he's playing them.

    To quote Donald.

"Good publicity is preferable to bad, but from a bottom-line perspective, bad publicity is sometimes better than no publicity at all."

Trump managed to make it into the president's hurricane address to the nation for free. Priceless 👏👏👏

I have no clue what you are saying here.

He is constantly in the news, he is running for president. Biden will of course mention him and the nonsense he spouts each day. Priceless? You are easily entertained.

Let’s be honest, we all knew Americans were a bit d$$b for years going back.

Now it’s coming home as they have multiplied by the millions.

Amazing they still have very capable and competent people at the top. Thankfully.

Yep. I stayed away for so long and got curious.

Trump is going to save 'murica from Dem hurricanes.

    Perfect.

Said without irony. How does one debate that?

You don't. Done. Let the ignorant claim their Dem hurricanes claimed the "win".

    DEL (Don't Engage Lunacy).

Will not post on this thread again

Jesus Christ. I think I've lost a few points off the IQ and 30 minutes of my life reading through some absolute demented ramblings about Democrats controlling the weather to stop the second coming of Jesus in the form of Trump. If Trump somehow becomes POTUS again, god help us all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 291 ✭✭advisemerite

CNN who heavily favour the Dems are reporting that Harris supporters in the know are worried she is on course to lose after seeing and studying data on recent polls. At best they say the race will be neck on neck. Trump will take the electoral college and in turn the keys to the big house. Harris' initial popularity is fading according to CNN and Fox too.

So since the US government has the secret technology to control the weather how come Trump didn't use it to his advantage when he lost the previous election?

Why didn't Obama use it to stop Trump winning the first time?

It's unconscionable to think that people are rooting on the misinformation as a means of political warfare, getting 'exposure' in the news for one candidate etc. when it's coming at the cost of peoples lives: some of the hoaxes being peddled for political purposes are resulting in people dying, some people are actively refusing to listen to safety and rescue officials or to seek help and are starving themselves to death because they have bought into these hoaxes like eg. if you ask for disaster relief or rescue you'll forfeit your home or your land:

ANTHONY: Hi, Dan, thank you for taking my call. This situation is actually breaking up our family. My father-in-law lives just outside of Asheville, North Carolina, and he was badly damaged by Hurricane Helene. And he has refused all FEMA help because he’s a hardcore Trumper. He literally believes that if he accepts anything from FEMA, they’re going to take his house.

    ABRAMS: Wow.

ANTHONY: And my wife, my wife is — I mean, we’re literally, I mean, we’re at the point where, like, screw them. I mean, if they’re going to listen to Alex Jones and Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity over us who have his best interest at heart, or my wife, my poor wife is like, the hell with them. Screw them. And it sucks. It really sucks in and I don’t understand how so many people are under the spell of this freaking con man. I don’t understand it.

ABRAMS: It’s absolutely heartbreaking about your father-in-law. I’m so sorry to hear it.

ANTHONY: Dan, it’s hard. It’s hard to even imagine it. I mean, he lost almost everything, and he’s refusing all help from the federal government and complaining to us that he doesn’t have food, that he doesn’t have the stuff he needs, and yet he won’t accept the help. What the hell are we supposed to do? We’re not in a position to be able to fly across the country and help him. There’s people begging us to get him to accept help and he won’t do it. And I guarantee you, I’m not the only one. I guarantee you I’m not the only one.

ABRAMS: I wish there was something I could say as to, you know, I don’t know. Is there — does he have access to any electronics where you could send him some information debunking this and that?

ANTHONY: We’ve done all of that. We’ve done all of that. We’ve sent him, we’ve sent him all the FEMA bulletins. We’ve sent him all the stuff from the fact checkers. He doesn’t believe it. He thinks it’s all — he just believes Trump, literally, Dan. He just — it’s a cult! He’s a cult member. I’m sorry to say it. He’s a cult member. And he’s my father-in-law and it sucks.

To actually read some people taking perverse glee in all this like it is some form of "hilarious" political exercise is not at all shocking any more, but it is incredibly indicting of their bankruptcy of character.

It's all fun and games until you realize that an elected official has to tell adults this stuff.
