    Hi

they usually only advertise a couple of weeks or months after the expiry of this competition so possible next March 2025.

That is not correct, in the last few comps, they lauched the new comps a few months before the expiry of the current comps. But seeing as they extended the panel, you wouldn't know what they would do now, they don't seem to be following the trends of the last few comps.

    Hi everyone,

Might anyone be on the Wexford Panel? If so, please send me an IM. Thanks!

I wish all the very best going forward. Keep going as this was my umpteenth attempt.

    Best wishes to all x

    p.s. Keep going. It'll happen 🙏

Got an update from PAS today and the 4.2 open batch seems to have moved with 6 fewer since the 28th of August. They did say that this is due to some people not taking roles. Don't know if this was due to the Department or the WFH policy. At least it's moving.

New AP Comp just launched on Revenue website for anyone interested...however it is somewhat specialised relating to "Pillar Two Implementation Team" so it may not suit all..

Hi everyone - any updates from anyone who has been offered recently?

Hi - anyone have any thoughts on the timeline of a new AP competition? Many thanks

Hi guys, also looking for a timeline on new applications for open competition to the AP pool. I am coming from the corporate world with 12+ years experience altogether, 4 in management and 2 in senior management - I'm keen to get out of the corporate world and contribute to the good of the country instead.

I'm really keen to start a career in the civil service and think my experience and current payband best lend themselves to the AP level, but I'm not sure where to begin. I believe the way to go about it is to apply via the open pool. Do people coming from outside the CS tend to fare ok here? Is it open to outsiders?

Keep an eye on the publicjobs site for competitions and vacancies.

I joined the CS relatively late in my career after working in the private sector exclusively up to then. I've enjoyed it, but from what I hear your experience can be very dependent on which department you end up in, and you won't have a choice in that.

You have to have 2 years served before you are eligible for any internal promotional opportunities, I took a fair cut in salary when I went in but was thinking of the long game, and it is paying off now.

Lots of people go in after being in the private sector, some after many years.

Thanks a mil - I think this is where I'm at. I'm applying for a specific role at the HEO level at the same time, which would represent a fair paycut and entering at a lower level than I'm at now, but the role seems really interesting and relevant to my skillset. I'm going to press ahead with that while keeping an eye on the AP open competition.

How long have you been in the CS now, and how have you found the change in culture coming from the private sector?

Does anyone know and I suspect I might be reaching here, but I was a CS at the time of application and got through the first round but way down, I have since left the CS and would be classified as a pubic servant working for an independent organization that would be Gov funded, and am on the PayScale etc.

I got a mail from public jobs today telling me I am moving to stage 2, but I guess I am not going to be able to proceed?

I am speaking about the InterD one obviously

If they're still doing Stage 2 Shortlisting, then (a) there must be a lot of people turning down roles and (b) this panel won't be ending anytime soon!

That's interesting, what score did you get after stage 1.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24 Nedzer12

Was in the 1200's after round one, and got a mail last week telling me I am just over 102 for stage 2.

Anyone know what is next - presumably a video?, I wonder how long this will take.

It is possible I will run out of time, they could be a fresh campaign staring soon.

Just got an interview date, how likely is it to change these dates ? I'm out of the country so can't attend 🤦‍♀️ frustrating after waiting nearly 2 years

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24 Nedzer12

Just got an interview date to Stage 3 too, I somehow forgot that Stage 3 is the final stage! Also disappointing to hear it is on zoom and not face to face.

It's a bit less intimidating on zoom so wasn't too disappointed about it myself. Sadly they won't reschedule so that's me out of luck 🙈
