Relocating smoke alarm in kitchen

I live in a 2 year old house, a fairly standard 3-bed semi setup. Smoke alarms are all mains powered and connected together with a control switch in the utility room, so an alarm in one room will trigger them all. The problem is that in the kitchen, there's a heat alarm almost directly above the oven. There's been several times where opening the oven produces a plume that rises and sets the thing off. My wife and I are both neurodivergent and intolerant to loud noise, so she has now stopped using the oven at anything higher than 200°C and even then gets anxious about triggering it.

I wouldn't feel comfortable moving it myself, mainly for insurance concerns, but what sort of contractor could I get to do this stuff? The builders were no use, trying to get them to fix more serious stuff was a challenge.

Hi, an electrician would be best placed to move an interlinked smoke alarm for you. The proper placement is actually covered as part of their training. 👍️
