Does anyone have experience with GLS?

I ordered from an Irish shop last week. It was s shipped with GLS. It was picked up last week. The tracking gon Thursday said it reached the parcel centre on Thursday and it said the location was knock.

We then went into a long weekend and I didn't expect it to move.

The tracking was updated yesterday to say it reached the parcel centre (the location - knock).

The tracking was updated again today to say the exact same thing - it reached the parcel centre in knock.

I would have expected delivery today to be honest.

I am hoping for delivery tomorrow but I wonder if Bidens visit to Mayo might slow it down out of knock?

Probably the cheapest courier to send things with since the demise of ParcelMotel… you can send parcels from one of their 'parcelshops' (shop or business that acts as a GLS agent)

Often a delay of 24 hours or more before parcel actually gets picked up but generally no hassle after that

Brought something online two weeks ago to be delivered to my local Oohpod. First time using ooohpod. Received notification that GLS had delivered it last week 20th....Still no sign. Oohpod say nothing in the parcel motel for me. GLS say they have lost the package and ask refund. Supplier has also tried to track and say the courier has lost the item and so have issued refund.... that's all great but meanwhile my package floats around with my oohpod address and my invoice details enclosed.

GLS just say that driven didn't retrieve package within allowed time and has now been reprimanded in some way. I don't think this is good enough. Anyone else have similar situation and was it rectified?

    TIA

This will never end until couriers face a €200 fine for every missed/misled/undelivered parcel. I had a parcel from Amazon, delivered to my OOHpod location, and I received text, when I went to retrieve the parcel I found another one inside the locker not belong to me. I notified OOHpod of the issue.

Dropped something off to the GLS pickup point 10 days ago and it still hasnt moved. I tried to drop it to another point and it was refused as they couldn't hold any more parcels. Seems like GLS have downed tools altogether.

Avoid GLS at all costs and before you buy online contact the seller to see who they use.

I'm not even going to start with my experience of GLS last month as its unbelievable. Google their reviews it's enough
