Doesn't work for me, keeps rejecting it due to insufficent current date - tried profile page with date accessed course, activity record etc

    Anyway, worth a try!

PS maybe better in the spotify thread?

Amazon ended up refunding me the full £95 Amazon Prime fee - which means I've gotten the last six months for free, and the next six months trial for free and then half price prime! Major bargain!

Would they take a copy of a student card on its own?

Hi. Can anyone tell me do Amazon deliver TV's to Ireland? Thanks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,203 ✭✭✭drury..

Nearly sure I got one off them a 40" Sony

Get one that's fulfilled by Amazon so there's no charges

Check to see if Richersounds will match whatever you're looking at. Their 6 year warranty is priceless

Will do. Haven't used them before but have often read very positive reports in this chat. Thanks

I think somebody mentioned earlier in the thread there was a max size - either 50" or 55" is memory serves. I reckon the Richer Sounds advice is sound (sorry!) however - they're very helpful on the their forum on here

Stick it in the basket and go to checkout and you will then see delivery options, import duties etc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 642 ✭✭✭Enrico Palazzo

And make sure a delivery date is indicated. If it isn't, while the TV is in stock, they will take your money, but the order will most likely never be shipped.

Thanks for your advice. I've been in touch with Richersounds, very helpful and decent prices. At the moment I'm leaning towards them for the LG 43UT91006la - New 2024/5 Model. €488 which includes delivery to Tipp and 6 yr warranty

Very strange, 200 bought in the last month yet no one has left a review?

Wake me up when it's all over.

GWP is usually Gift With Purchase. This would just be a poster that was like Preorder this game and get a free poster, or buy the deluxe version of the game and get a free poster. They may not have sold as many copies of the game as expected?

(good) weird experience just there, have to return a pair of defective runners and had organised the return the other night. First the customer care person thought I was in the UK and was offering me the UK return options and then after they accepted I was in Ireland said they couldn't do a prepaid label so was going to have to submit a postage receipt for refund.

Only got around to printing out the postage label today and noticed the return address was in Wales. The last few times I've returned stuff it's been to an Irish address and after the intial person thought I was in the UK I said I'd check. So got on the chat to confirm the address and the guy didn't even bother checking the address, just said I didn't need to return the runners and he'd issue the refund now.

Really is the luck of the draw when it comes to the results you get on chat with them.

With Richersounds I have the option of paying in sterling which would be £399 for this TV. Revolut exchange has £399 converted to €467. So if I pay stg using revolut I'd pay €467 instead of €488, am I missing something? Haven't used revolut for this before, thanks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,681 ✭✭✭SourSessions

No, except I'd wait until Monday because they charge an exchange rate at the weekend!

Its a 1% weekend exchange fee.

Revolut basic plan has an exchange limit of 1000 euro per month.

    Exact times for weekend fee:

If you make an exchange on weekends (between 5pm New York time on Friday and 6pm New York time on Sunday) a 1% fee applies. This fee is applied regardless of your plan.

Use a cashback site for Richer Sounds - potential 2% cashback https://www.topcashback.co.uk/richer-sounds/

btw my local Galway Lidl had a sale recently, had this tv for €700 €400

Nearly 500 euro for a 43 inch television seems expensive. It must be top of the range?

40 and 43 inch televisions are available in curry's and power city and other local shops for about about half that price.

They get great reviews, so most people seem happy with them.

Or as suggested you could get a 50 or 55 inch Tele for less than 500. Again with great reviews that most people are very happy with

I really appreciate all your advice cos I'm a complete novice when buying this stuff, my last TV purchase was about 10 years ago! In fairness to Richersounds they also suggested this model which is cheaper -Samsung UE43DU7100 - New 2024/5 Model 43 inch 4K Ultra HD HDR Smart LED TV costing €369.

The 6 yr guarantee coming with the LG43UT910061a seems very good so that's why is was tempted to buy that. Not so sure now, maybe I should look around.

Another factor for me is the width of the TV cabinet I have. It's just 750mm so not every 43"TV will fit on it as the legs are usually wider. The lg TV is on a centre stand and not legs on either wing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,681 ✭✭✭SourSessions

You can get small center TV stands for maybe €25 to solve that if it's the only difference

Check with Richer Sounds … they should do the 6 year warranty on all TVs I think.

Not all TVs have in this included in the price, but you can purchase it for around €40 extra if I remember correctly.
