I'm looking into purchasing property in this area. I'm unsure of what to make of the general area safety wise - any thoughts?

Most of Dublin city centre is very safe with the usual social problems you'd expect anywhere.
From walking through that area frequently, it seems very multicultural with a bit of a buzz/energy about the place with lots of options for eating out.
