Radio Presenters with speech impediments

I belive George Hook has a slight speech inpediment. Or so a speech thearpist I used to date claimed. He wasn't quite at the Bobby Kerrs level. But he was difficult to listen to and understand. He was also a dinosaur, which didn't help either.

I am pretty sure if he was on radio now. He would be sh1tting the bed over "wokeism" and being "transgender".

is his voice a result of his cancer treatment?

Yes, he had head/neck cancer

He was a sexist bigot. With no journalistic integrity. His show was basically just outrage and hyperbole.

Many of the posters have strayed away from the original premise of this thread, i.e. radio presenters with speech impediments.

There are other threads already covering other aspects of how presenters speak.

Also factual is Sean's type of speech pattern, which is a recognised form of impediment.

Bobby Kerr does not have a speech impediment. His condition may cause his voice to sound unusual to others, but he has no problem talking about the points he wants to make.

On the other hand, Sean Moncrieff's condition is called cluttering, a type of impediment which causes him to inject ooh/aah/eh into his talking. Listen to him asking a question. He will start off the sentence, followed by the cluttering and end up taking the question into another direction.

It's patently obvious some people here can't tell the difference.

And the OP was way off the mark equating accents with speech impediments.

I understand that, and I am very happy that he had made a full recovery. But he is ill suited to radio.
