Not exactly, there were some very reduced in Bolton as well and I did say if people were passing B&Q. Posted in case it might be useful to some people if they were near B&Q to check stock.

Any decent fitted outdoor cover available on the cheap for the Weber Q2000 ? It’d be a shame not to protect it from the weather.

Thanks to the OP for the bargain. Nice BBQ and looking forward to testing it out once Summer arrives.

Any recommendations for a cover for the Spirit II 210?

Why wait for summer? As long as it's dry get using it.

Balls... I didn't realise this was limited to a certain number & had put my reclaim on the long finger until this morning... costly error!!

    Special Offers | Weber Barbecues

Any recommendations for a good cover for the Weber Spirit II E-210 Black 2 burner? All weather job that will properly protect the BBQ outside.

I bought what looked to be a decent cover from amazon, thing is a like a sieve. Was useless.

Sorry to drag up an old thread but its getting to that time of year again. The mothers birthday is coming up and I'd love to get her a decent gas BBQ around the €200-€300 mark. Any info on deals would be much appreciated.

The worst time(s) to buy a BBQ are before and during summer - I don't think you'll get a good deal for a while yet anyway right now.

I purchased a Gas2Coal after the summer, half price (so at the price point you want) and having the advantage of using coals with it when I want to as well as being extremely solid compared to comparably sized BBQs from HomeStore and others.

This is not true. Once of the best bargains posted in this thread in July last year was for Weber BBQs. They had a big cash back offer on:

    • Weber Q - get €145 cash back
    • Weber Spirit - get €225 cash back
    • Weber Genesis - get €350 cash back

Picked up the Q2000 myself on sale from Woodies for €249, meaning €104 out of pocket after the cashback promo. It was an absolute steal.

    ________________

Looks like Weber are having another cashback promotion starting 01/04 through to 09/05 (although not as good as last years - up to €165).

    https://www.weber.com/IE/en/spring-start.html

Can't seem to locate exact details as of yet, but may be because the promo hasn't started yet.

Terms and conditions say you need a UK bank account to receive the cashback.

I'd say its a typo given its specific T&Cs for Ireland and its a similar scheme to last years cashback offer.

    Model & Cashback amount

    €40 cashback

    Spirit E210

    €50 Cashback

    Spirit E310, Spirit E335, Spirit E410, Spirit E425, Genesis E315, Lumin Compact, Slate 43cm

    €80 Cashback

    Lumin, Slate 76cm, Slate 56cm

    €165 Cashback

    Searwood, Searwood

    To be sure of eligibility:

    • Ensure receipt shows a date of purchase between 1st April - 9th May inclusive (i.e. wait until next Tuesday for purchase)
    • Final date for submitting a claim is 24/05 (unless limits are reached before hand).
    • Limit to first 6000 claims (this should last well into May based on last years experience so no need to panic).

similar scheme but much much worse Cashback offer? Looks to be less than 25% of what was offered off last year? Spirit was 225 off, not its 50 off?

Looks like the Q series has had a redesign so last year's offer was probably to clear inventory, I doubt there'll be anything to match it this year

    Yep it was.

That Weber Spirit is a great price - although Woodies RRP of €699 is BS when Weber sell it direct for €599.

I went down to Woodies after seeing all these posts. Saw the webber, good price. me over to Sahara s350. Heavier lid, was the first thing I noticed. Said he'd go 350 cash now for the Sahara. I had a sit down on one of the chairs, had a think about it. Took the Sahara home. Yeow!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 962 ✭✭✭ECookie13

Saharas can rust very quickly. Weber is good for sending out replacement parts that damage/age quickly, once you've registered the BBQ, so I'd have gone for the known brand personally!

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 23,493 ✭✭✭✭beertons

The webber just felt a bit lighter. Same money. I had my eye on a Sahara years ago, but the shower went, and had to use the money to replace it. I replaced the shed last year, so have a bit more free space, might take it in and out as I use it, hopefully save on the weather destruction.
