Milky sun in Dublin. Very warm already though.

Hoping we get a thunderstorm tonight. Would be nice to see lightning at night for a change.

Sunny in Sligo and 16c. Forecast to go over 23c so would be the warmest day here of Summer 2024 if it is. Pretty dismal but feel this year we may beat our high temperature in September after cold June n July.

Sea fog just off shore now in Greystones. Could be a bit of a fly in the ointment today for the immediate east coasters.

Day is finished here in west mayo, was a bright sunny morning, but the basterd cloud has begun to smother us. ..a measure of what an atrocious summer it has been, even the fine days cant stay fine, this constant changing from hour to hour, and an inability for the day to just settle. vexation levels off the charts. oh and the cherry on top, the thunderstorm activity is now a localised event from the north midlands into east ulster. chrisssssssssssssssssssssssssssttttttttt. i want to fire the computer out the window with temper.

yesterday was a glorious summer day what I’d call a real pet day. Warm mostly sunny calm bright. So enjoyable. Typically though back to back nice days is a stretch to far for our climate. Today is windy cloudy and cooler so disappointed. I was hoping that we might see some sunshine for some of today and a bit of heat with it. But the no that bastard wind for one thing is back.

Mixed bag around the country today. Cork Airport reporting rain and fog. Light drizzle at Waterford. Casement 21 degrees and sunny.

Here in Castlebar there was a beautiful start ,however, once again a band of low cloud has moved in .now completely overcast

Lovely morning, with warm sunshine in Dub/Kildare - breezy, of course, but not bad. Once again, though, it's a cloudy lunchtime. Really hoping the blue skies return today.

Barely a cloud in the deep blue sky in south Dublin today.
Very warm with an on/off breeze that breaks the warm silence now and again.
    Gorgeous.

Gorgeous in Dublin City today, real warm Continental feel. Probably because I've been in Galway the last few weeks though!

full perma pig gloom now welded on tight, with strong gusts of wind and drizzle.

was wondering what the catch would be for having temperatures getting into the low 20s. makes sence though heaven forbid the warmth would be in conjuction with sunshine.

heaven forbid that you could sit outside for 2 or 3 hours for 1 f'ing day in the summer in direct sunlight without having your face blown off.

@pad199207 @wazzzledazzle Do ye have any sunshine with that warmth in your parts of N Kildare? It's 100% clouds, total grey in Maynooth since before noon. Very warm, breezy, but horribly dull. Are we just unlucky here??

Magnificent day in Dublin, can't beat those clear blue skies and the sun beating down. In the city now and everyone strolling around in t-shirt and shorts in a great mood. Curious to know what other posters in Dublin say but I think August has been really good, very dry and low 20s pretty much every day, some cloudy days but been very balmy and dry even with the breeze at times. Our garden has that really dry look now you get in nicer summer stretches

22.6C here near the Kerry coast, warm wind, cloudy with strong bursts of sunshine, a couple of drops blowing around. Great day, grass all cut, heading to the coast.

stunning day in cork city yesterday, about 24 degrees and that glorious blue skies. Drove down to west cork, still blue skies, dropped to about 21 with a cooler breeze but still amazing. Dull grey misty weather this morning but just cloud now, slight wind and a “heavy” feel to the atmosphere, wind warmer then yesterday about 21 degrees
