Loads of pink moon and campervan tickets available on toutless. Not the hottest ticket this year it seems, unless your under 25 of course.

Its really a bit ridiculous at this stage that we're still waiting for these last names of the line up within a week of the festival, is there actually going to be any more names added. Maybe in his old age Melvin Benn for some reason thinks that we are still in the early September dates and has forgot its two weeks earlier this year.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

    yes and no

    1. It’s very handy to just rock up and chuck your muck in the tent and then rock
    2. Having a clean orderly campsite cannot be over recommended, esp if you look at the hell on earth vistas of some of the other campsites.
    3. Clean shitters and showers that work!
    4. Security aspect is very appealing
    5. Direct entry to the arena is right handy
    6. Covered bar is a godsend when the **** weather kicks in.

It’s expensive and I much prefer the pitch your own option they had last year but that was not initially available this year. Ideally I’d go eco but zero guarantee of getting a pitch and frankly **** general camping, the state of some of it is mind bogglingly awful, there are some utter animals that walk amongst us.

Note: you pay extra for their bedding, most seasoned goers will already have their gear.

To put myself in his shoes, he's trying to spend as little as possible on acts while still ensuring the festival sells out. It seems that demand for tickets far outweighs supply so he can afford to take many shortcuts. Looking back on last year, The Script were announced on the Friday prior while Loyal Carner was announced on the Monday of the festival and The Academic on the Tuesday. Hoping for some exciting announcement today but wouldn't bank on it. My guess would be a plethora of Irish acts with maybe one or two mid-tier international acts.

The Bionic Rats seem like a bit of a buzz, where will they end up?

The app has been updated with Fishtown artists added.

And I think if we are honest, no announcement would be better than a list of acts like Coronas or the Script.

I put up 2 Weekend Tickets and a Rainbow Tipi there this morning, getting loads of messages just looking for tickets.

Spot on, and I'd expect a lot on re-sale from early next week with the prices dropping as the week goes on.

The “new” target demographic under 25 are part time/college going folk & may not have or wouldn’t spend the money on Pink moon.

For me I could never justify the pink moon outlay! Do x5 years at EP it adds up to a tidy amount, you could get a decent caravan for the money, it’s a chore to try to secure camper tickets, but have they expanded camper capacity in moving to green? I’ve never seen so many camper tickets for sale (normally some at this time, but ppl have being try to sell for months)

Folks would ye recommend boutique? Recovering from ATN and also BTP earlier in the summer (general camping) and for EP the standard bell is all that's available - not sure I can justify that price. But also haven't been to EP since 2018 and not sure how the campsite demographic will have changed since then... Either way getting excited now!

it does smell like a clear out of the more mature goer and that will spell trouble for pink moon who seem to have wildly over extended their offering this year.

Yeah that seems a bit better tbf. Only year I went we were in back of poets I think it was. Quiet, clean enough and people were sound. Trek to the stages though. Grand first time but balls going back getting cans and going back in

I’ll be trying to catch this young Irish band if I can, “Burnchurch” little bit on the poppy side for me, but need to see the piano player go at it! Check out the first 35 seconds of this!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,326 ✭✭✭✭drunkmonkey

Would definatley recommend pink moon if you want a bit of luxury it's usually an older crowd. Depends on you though, if you're just their to party hard, jimi hendrix is probably the maddest.

    @kirstymc

@drunkmonkey has a rainbow tipi up for sale, see a few posts above yours , (i can vouch for him, he helped me out last year) cheers

The question is, if Pink Moon and other boutique options etc fail to sell in significant numbers next year and have to be scaled back or some fall away for 2026, what overall impact would that have on revenue for future years. I sense there's a decent amount of revenue to lose by changing the demographic to people who spend less on boutique camping and also generally spending less on bars and food when there. Could be the start of a downhill spiral which would be difficult to reverse.

My view, as someone who's done general camping, campervaning and Pink Moon -

Especially for people who come by bus or aren't big and strong (to carry camping gear plus drink plus plus), Pink Moon at EP is an absolute godsend. Its location is brilliant, and the cost if you share the basic/cheapest tents/tips is 100% worth it.

From the map sent by Pink Moon, they are telling people to enter by the Abbeyleix gate and use the internal paths , which defo isn't as straight forward as using the roadway. Paint ball gate not mentioned but there is a Drop off gate!

cue the dead trolley carcasses lining the path! pneumatic wheels or bust on the those paths! the organisers need to consider these things, if you're any way "crook" that walk with the gear could be enough to put people off going next year, i suppose us Pink Mooners had it easy with the green all these years, i used to get up the front the last few times, I always just asked the teen stewards nicely to be allowed in accessible as my knee is fcked (not a lie) i had no moral qualms with it, i parked back in the area and it was never even a quarter full every year

yeah, another thing I never take into account are the “pamper” areas with power and hair driers that are set up as I’m a bald fat bastard in his 50s with no need for them but the ladies (and non bald gents) do keep them very busy areas.

Just on the Pink Moon thing, a friend of mine is trying to sell a 4 man tent with no luck. Doesn't seem to be any interest at all. They can't sign up on Toutless to advertise though so will be hard. If anyone's interested here, let me know.

EOTR is three weeks away and the clashfinder is already fully done by the looks of it. A week to go at Stradbally and we don't even have the full lineup let alone times/day/stage breakdowns for everything. I know there's a difference in scale but still…Jokeshop.
