It's supposed to be serious news iec not parody. But as you say ...

I find it really funny to read sometimes. The headlines and the stories usually have no relation whatsoever.

The headline will say something like "Locals terrified as Gardaí hunting crime gang over sinister incident" and the actual content is about a shed broken into in Gurtymadden or a car window broken in Loughrea.

Or "locals shocked as beloved iconic restaurant closes its doors" and it's a vegan food truck closing down in South Tipperary.

It actually seems to be one particular guy writing those particularly pathetic headlines, the rest of the stuff is just pure nothingness pulled from social media, but obviously the editor sees no problem with the lad who's writing the especially comical stuff.
