Delighted Armagh won because at least they tried to play some football throughout the game and tried to win the game.

Galways spent far too much time passing the ball around in a circle both in the first half and then when the game was for the taking in the last 5 minutes, if they had speeded things up they could have worked another 2 or 3 chances to draw or potentially win the game at the end.

It's sad that Padraic Joyce one of the most gifted and creative footballers to ever play the game sends his team to play such turgid nonsense.

Fair play Armagh. That’s gonna hurt in Galway.

I think all irelands mean less these days. The best footballers dont win them. Its all about choking the game and killing pace. Horrendous.

Some of the wides kicked by Galway were embarrassing if we are being honest, completely left that one behind.

Congrats Armagh, Comer and Walsh did not play well for Galway.

you’ll have a heap on now giving out to you who seem to be petrified of the word. Meant to be the best player on the pitch and bar Comer he put in the worst performance. Well done to Armagh! Well worth that, a lot slicker in attack.

They should play Orange Crush by REM as Armagh's celebratory song at the end of the match.

Hard to understand how Galway didn’t get it done today. They kicked away the initiative so many times.

Comer totally anonymous. Walsh had a stinker. Far too much hype about them two lads, they haven’t produced at all. Feel sorry for Dylan McHugh who was excellent all year.

    Congrats to Armagh

13 points won’t win too many finals .

Galway just didn’t have the forwards .

I look forward to the analysis of Damien Comers second final disappearance

And of course that Shane Walsh stepped “outside the group” to run a Pedigree Chum competition on his Instagram in the build up to the final.
and that’s before we get to his display of sharp shooting off either foot …..

Congrats to our orange brethern, Galway left it behind, lost composure big time.

Congrats to Armagh and hard luck Galway. A final far from classic more errors than quality on show but exciting finish.

What can Comer do when nothing is going in to him

Jarlath Burns speech last week will be topped in a few minutes.

Armagh nearly lost it by not pressing the kickout late on, probably deserved the win overall though. If Galway had a more progressive management, I think they'd do a lot better

Armagh did everything they could to throw it away and Galway still couldn’t even get a draw. Comer was anonymous and Walsh hopeless.

They used to do that back in the 80s. Age, height, club, scores in championship to date. Should bring it back.

This game is an example that serious rule changes are needed ASAP.

There is nothing wrong with the skill levels of the players we saw that when they actually went out and played a bit in the second half and when the kickouts were kicked long.

This round in circles hand passing and fear of kicking the ball in case possession is lost which so many teams use as their way of playing is horrific and is killing the game. Its needs to end ASAP, maybe Jarlath Burns should be focused on that rather than pontificating about issues that are not the GAA's concern.

They had 5-6? opportunities after Armagh scored the goal. Feel sorry for Shane Walsh, he will be singled out.

The better team won, thought Paul Conroy was immense for Galway but bar that…as good and all Shane Walsh was in 22 , that was the complete opposite. But he’ll know that himself

Fair play to Armagh. But Galway threw it away. They won’t let Walsh back to Galway.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

    This is his take

An advocate of attacking, kicking football, Connacht final defeats by Mayo in 2020 and 2021 convinced him to alter his ways.

A deserved win for Armagh congratulations to them. The Galway players seemed to be too afraid to take a shot at the posts at times. They really did overdo the hand passing imo.

One thing to lose a final because the other side was just better but this one will hurt Galway.

Burns must be looking for a medal with this speech

Exactly, no point in having good inside forwards and not putting the ball in to them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,824 ✭✭✭✭Zeek12

Is Burns giving the captains speech?
