Drizzly rain and grey, rinse and repeat day in day out this summer!

Very intense squall line just passed through here in Cork, should be a decent day from now

After a poor start the sun is now breaking out in Dublin...feeling fresh

Breezy in Galway but lovely sunny spells.

Anyone notice a distinct lack of wasps this summer? Plenty of bees around but I don't think I've seen a single wasp.

Still raining here in North Wexford. Why oh why is there so much rain...well it's heavy drizzle and not showing up on the apps.

Lovely day in the west. Swim done, garden needs work after all the growth.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

One thing that I will remember about this summer is how infrequently I have had to cut the lawn compared to every other summer that i can remember. I presume this isn't just my perception, that grass growth has been poor this summer.

It's finally stopped and the sun is out. The excitement!!!

Think of us lads relying on grass growth now to feed animals next spring 🫣

Dublin city centre buzzing at the moment. Lovely and warm and the streets are packed...feels like being abroad

Yep normally i would be cutting the grass every 6 days or so but over the course of this summer it has been once every 10 days or so. However now that we're into normal temperatures again for the time of year grass growth should get back to normal this week.

Lovely start to the day. Misty sunrise at Slane that quickly lifted into low cloud when I was leaving.

You should try and get to Lloyd tower just outside kells for some amazing views. The tower also opens to the public on some occasions, not sure when, and you can climb to the top.

Lovely morning in Kerry, just getting up to 17C now and feels like it could get up around 20C and maybe a bit more today. Really good day yesterday also out coastal rummaging, 3.5hrs in boots and waders, the feet are sore today 😀 but heading out to the woods or hills soon.

Oh yeah. Most farmers will do well to get two cuts of hay this Summer, unless there is a big improvement in August.

The coming week will easily be the best week of summer to date, I'm going to spend most of the time between now and Friday outside and for the first time this summer enjoy lunch outside every day.

Just after shaking out a bit of loose hay between the young trees, 1950's style using the fork. Sweat now

Lovely summers day in Dublin, will probably touch 23c at some point today. It’s great not knowing there will be any rain over next few days in the east. Yes it could get cloudy at times but at least it will be warm and dry.

Who knows, maybe the following week 4th to 11th might not be as bad as the models were suggesting a few days ago. Supposed to stay warm anyhow.
