When the mower docks due to the rain sensor being activated it will not restart until that message is cleared from display.....Is there some setting I can change make it restart mowing automatically???

Thank you for taking the time to reply. It's doing a good job as is so I decided to leave well enough alone. Joe

I've had an issue with one of the back wheels spinning on moss. Has anyone managed to solve this?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5 beneathasteelsky

Having an issue couple of hours after install. Robot was cutting fine, then started beeping whenever the wheels were moving and the blades were cutting at same time. Blades cut fine when robot is stationary. Robot now just drives around, cuts for half second, beeps and repeats the cycle.

Can't see any obstruction underneath. It's 1000m2 20V PMRDA 20-Li B2 model. Has anyone experienced this?

Sas this post about making the mower smart. If there are any tech diy enthusiasts that would like to give it a go

I am having the same issue, may last 5 minutes and just stop. It says Emergency Stop.

I presume its moisture trapped? I've brought it inside for a few days to see if it can dry out.

I would suggest reset to factory settings. Other than that suggestion I havnt a clew!

Where are you guys buying replacement blades for this mower? They take a larger screw diameter than other manufacturers.

we got some on Ali express. A box of thirty blades for about €8 as far as I can remember. They seem decent and are a good fit.

Just wondering the same. It seems like a fairly bad design if it never goes back out automatically after a bit of rain.

Would also really appreciate a link for the replacement blades on Ali if you wouldn’t mind digging out the details?

The blades are tiny on these mowers aren't they

I think the blades & mounting screw size is different on the 500m Vs the 1000m2 models. Which ones are you looking for?

Only getting around to setting up my 500m2 mower this week and have a quick question about laying out the boundary cable in relation to corners.

I understand for internal corners it's best to do 2 x 45 degree angles to take the corner but how do you go about laying out the wire for outside a 90 degree corner - attach sketch hopefully shows what I mean. Can they be just done at 90 degrees ?

It should be fine whatever way you do it..the idea is really to stagger the turn so that the mower is not trying to make complete angled revolutions which will slow it down returning to base and may also lead to it ending up outside the area when it attempting to turn this way and that in sharp order…so smooth out the turns as best you can is all…

Ok so maby a curve around the outside corner rather than a sharper bend.

    Thanks

folks - I have one of these for sale, working fine but just not compatible with dog or kids. Drop me a DM if interested

What I have noticed in recent weeks is that my robot has this problem on hot days (25C and above). I suspect that it just gets too hot and either some connections become woobly/loose or it's brain is just melting.
I'm not sure it's moisture - it almost never stops in early mornings (it starts at 08:00) and evenings (it works till 23:00) when there is a dew on the grass. Also the rain hasn't really affected it (to be honest it hasn't really been outside in the rain - I always try to carry it in when it starts raining. Perks of working from home).
Today it's +27C here and I sent it home (to the charging dock) after it stopped for the forth time. Yesterday it was +24C and no sunshine and it worked 3 full cycles without stopping.

Finally got around to setting up my 500sq mtr model this evening and so far so good. It mowed for 2 hours without issue until it got to 30% and then returned home to charge.

I tried to put it mowing when it got to 50% but it said battery low so presume it needs to charge fully before it will start again ?

I removed the small inner bumper as it was having a little difficulty with some bumps and went better after that.

Do some of ye remove the full outer bumper aswell ?

What sort of schedules do people set on them - many days per week and hours per day as I've no idea what is best way to set it up ?

    Tia

so yours stops randomly and says Emergency stop without hitting the button or lifting the Perspex cover?

if you are referring to hours, then depends on the size of your lawn but mower should be out most days doing a few hours..idea us to keep grass short so unlike the old way, you don't see long grass all

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 409 ✭✭ra0044

We have about 400m2 of lawn and I send our mower out for an hour a day Monday to Friday. The 30mm cut keeps it nice and neat.

    Hi lads

My mower is constantly stopping due to the error "Motor overcurrent".

I got this every now and then last year when the mower clogged up with grass and once I cleared the grass it was ok again. There is no clogged grass this time though. It just mows for a short time and it happens again.

I have removed whatever the thing that holds the blades is called to see if anything is stuck somewhere but it all looks clean.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

Same issue here, had this before but only a couple of times, now i see that the firmware was updated to 0.4.7 version not so long ago, and now i have this over-current issue almost every day. One way to fix it is to turn the robot off and on, then it will continue to work, otherwise, it just throws this error again and again

    Edit:

Tried to swap the battery with 2Ah and later on with an 8Ah battery, and there was no effect, still getting the same error. One thing to note is that during late evening it was working fine, so it might have something to do with the temperate, but overall it was not too warm in here, so im not sure if it can be taken into account

I did notice powering it off and on allowed it to work again but usually it's not for long. I had it on again this morning, earlier than usual, and it seems to have run for longer than usual (45 mins) before the error appeared which might suggest that you're right about the temperature.

I didn't notice about the firmware update but I'll check it out.

I think it will be mowing from 9-12, and 13-16. Work time is only meant if you start mowing manually. At least this is my experience, and yes, this should have been clearer. Pro tip: check the Work history in the app :)
