I wonder will the contrast between his holiday in Ireland and his return to the anonymity of London accelerate his return home? It must be hard to live with the contrast. People like him feed off being famous and being recognised.

My wife and I bought a little holiday home in West Cork a few years back. I must say it can be very difficult to come back out of it. It’s such a sharp contrast between getting up late, sitting around reading, going for a swim in the sea, and the professional life in Dublin.

likewise… though our holiday home is on the Baltic coast of Lithuania…. In a beautiful little seaside resort with bags of history. Here’s the beach a short 5 minute walk from us…

Already spent about 6 weeks here this year and it hurts more and more to leave it to come back to sunny Ireland!!!

Tubbers could have really done with taking today off as well…. Given it’s the morning after the night before I can’t imagine his audience is up for the craic of hearing all about sipping half pints of Bud Light in some bar on the West of Ireland in the pi$$ing rain…

but he’s a multi millionaire who doesn’t have to worry about money so what’s the story?

I sometimes find it amusing that people who find it so easy to dish out criticism and invective are so seemingly incapable of accepting any criticism themselves. If it’s good enough for the goose then it’s good enough for the gander.

Hilarious stuff. Poor aul @Beechwoodspark found out yet again to be a serial liar (its pretty much a daily occurrence that he slips up). He'll keep the head down for another few hours and hopes nobody notices and will be back later.

What “lies” have I told on this thread so?

Wimbledon has been on for the past 2 weeks with the finals on Sat/Sun, the British GP & Henley regatta were on last week as well. All huge events as part of the London social season, manna from heaven for the movers and shakers and/or people trying to climb the ladder. As one of Ireland biggest exports* & foremost talents* you would think this would be prime ground for Tubsidy to mine, mingle with the stars, meet people, plug the show etc.

But no, he spends the week in connemara, far from any crowd, before departing to london in a huff. Have we not been told repeatedly about what a big name he is, what a fantastic opportunity it is, how its now 'senior hurling'?

Taking Wimbledon alone - we had international A List actors (Tom Cruise, Benedict Cumberbatch, Courtney Cox, Tom Hiddleston etc etc etc) along with actual Royalty !!

Where was Tubridy - this so called “man about town” and “huge star” ??

Nowhere to be seen.

The reason - Duck Egg Kelly wouldn’t shell out for the tickets - too pricey and with no good return.

Good business acumen I guess…?
