Hey @Luna84 , @engineerws and any other both sidser that wants to weigh in here. Can we get an answer to this?

Did the US or the West or NATO force Russia to bomb a childrens hospital? And if so how? Does it only interest you when Ukraine act in the grey? Genuinely curious to hear a reply to this one.

Looks like they used Kinzhal missiles, they fly 10 times the speed of sound and manoeuvre, very hard to hit.

Targeting a children's hospital (after targeting the power-grid nonstop for weeks). They also went after Zelensky's home town. It's not just sheer brutality behind Russian attacks, it's the level of spite.

It's astoundingly morbid to target a children's hospital. Those additional air defences can't get there quick enough.

it’s notable that he is not visiting other countries that are at a ‘ crossroads’ and that what is happening /not happening in these countries have a bearing - in short and long term- has an effect on the Ru/UKr ‘Special Mission’ and world stability in general eg Georgia ,Sudan, Japan, North Korea, UK !, France, US, Moldova

Oh I suspect it's much worse than that. I fully expect that the Russians threw those missiles in the general direction of Kyiv and didn't give a damn where they would hit. Could have hit anyone's home, playschool, park with playgrounds. Any number of things that nothing to do with war, and everything to do with terrorising people.

It is somehow worse because they can't even be bothered to target their victims. They all get to play a grim lottery to see who will be the unfortunate soul to have an Iskander land on their head.

I hope enough of these monsters get dragged to The Hague and spend the rest of their days between the ICC courtroom and their well-earned cell.

Think yours is a fairly accurate assessment. Terror bombing.

Utter scum behaviour by Russia and totally inexcusable, a warcrime. You should have also included those who defend Israel destroying hospitals yet now act horrified at this.

Russia initially said they had no involvement with the troops in Crimea:

    https://www.reuters.com/article/us-ukraine-crisis-lavrov-spain-idUSBREA240NF20140305/

A year later Putin admits that it was him all along:

    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-31796226

Could it be that Russia has been lying this whole time? No, it must be fake news / anti-Russian sentiment!

Russia has a special word for the type of lie you tell when everyone knows its a lie but you have to pretend to believe it - враньё. Putin has been telling this sort of lie about Ukraine for years and it is not considered to be lying by Russians.

On the negotiations, since you're so keen on sources and such, can you give me some reliable sources for the narrative about the peace agreement in 2022? I've been looking for such information for a long time and I can't find any reliable sources. The Russian sources are inconsistent as to whether it was in March or April, whether the agreement was reached or not, who exactly agreed it and whether it was a peace agreement or cease fire. Can you please provide?

Peace was not given a chance 😂

It's pretty easy - don't invade another sovereign country that is of zero threat to you, and there's your peace right there.

Grade A gaslighting - essentially sucker punch someone, kick them when they're on the ground, and then just as they're getting up start banging on about "can't we all just be friends".

"I hope enough of these monsters get dragged to The Hague and spend the rest of their days between the ICC courtroom and their well-earned cell."

And all their supporters & nationals whether vocal or silent, around the world and here in our own country….. should be hanging their heads in shame and disgrace.

On the subject of the war crime of killing surrendering Russians / POWs. Like all categories of crime, there are greater and lesser crimes. Stealing a loaf of bread is a lesser crime than robbing a bank, which is a lesser crime than rape, which is a lesser crime than murder.

I'd argue that not only is killing surrendering troops (who are part of a genocidal invading force) a lesser crime than bombing a children's hospital, it's an unfortunate but inevitable reality of war.

Sometimes the order to "take no prisoners" has to be given in order to achieve a military objective. The heroes of D Day killed dozens if not hundreds of surrendering Germans on June 6th 1944 and we've just celebrated that event 100 years later.

The the UAF have shown such restraint and that such war crimes seem to be occurring at such low levels in their defence of their country is admirable. Would you give a scuttery shite about the Geneva convention if facing an army that had raped, killed and tortured members of your family? I'm fairly certain I wouldn't, I'd be doing anything I could to kill or maim the kunts.

Indeed context is important. In any war, incidents and atrocities will occur, that's a given. However isolated events are very different from systematic ones. To Ukraine's credit they have been extraordinarily restrained in this conflict (under extreme provocation)

Putin apologists ignore the systematic crimes of Russian forces to put on an act of being shocked at any isolated events from Ukrainian forces. All as part of an attempt to equalise them "both as committing war crimes".

It's Kremlin propaganda 101, incredible to still see apparent Irish "free thinkers" not just swallowing it, but parroting it.

Not only does the amount of this drivel we see lend weight to calls to expel or at the least severely restrict the activities of the Russian embassy in Ireland, I'd almost argue we should be looking at severing Russia's links to the internet. Presumably under such a dictatorial setup only a handful of connections to the WWW exist.

How difficult would it be to stop / censor all traffic in and out of Russia?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,566 ✭✭✭Wolf359f

They will follow the Kremlin line that it was all faulty air defence missiles that fell on multiple hospitals. Despite the fact there's clear footage showing Russian missiles hitting the hospital.

When this is pointed out, they will go with the command center under the hospital tripe. Probably with NATO instructors etc...

In siberian news for the morning.

"The main thing for the morning:
—Some parents of school graduates in Nalchik did not stand during the Russian anthem
    — “Voenkor” apologized for calling the Chechen formations of “Akhmat” “Tiktokers” who hide behind conscripts
—Orban flew to China on a “peace mission”"

I can't help think that this missile attack on the children's hospital was an outlet of murderous rage in seeing Le Pen not winning in France

So while Orban goes to China to get publicity for a peace dialogue on their behalf, the Russians decide to bomb a Childrens Hospital.

You really would wonder sometimes how despite all their skill and aptitude for propaganda and misinformation they can make such gaffs. Arrogance mixed with stupidity and cruelty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,949 ✭✭✭Hande hoche!

Wouldn't be out of realms of possibility. One target in Ukraine is repeatedly hit owing to its strategic location of being the current president's birthplace.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,653 ✭✭✭rogber

The stupidity is Orban's for talking to this scum in the first place. Sickening attack, the whole Russian nation should be hanging its head in shame

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,849 ✭✭✭Brussels Sprout

Yes actually. You'll not be surprised to hear that he's claiming that it's a lie that the Russians attacked a children's hospital and that it was actually hit by Ukrainian defensive missiles.

He's not being very consistent though. In one post he claims that it was an S300. In another he claims it was a "NATO supplied NASAMS"

He also had this in one of his posts

    image.png

Hard to tell if he's cynically lying or unbelievably deluded.

It could have been a response to the Ukrainian athlete breaking a world record and that he hasn't got his athletes competing in world events.

Or simply this was planned for weeks ago and they've a schedule of terrorism planned.

One thing the Putin administration cannot be taken seriously as members of humanity. Until they are all gone from the Kremlin it'll be rinse and repeat for lies and terrorism. Russian people really need a revolution to change power and bring themselves back to humanity.

No surprise the Daly and Wallace Muppets got blasted out of Europe.

It looks like history is starting up again.

    Mick who? Clare who?

….no word because the world has moved on from these (no longer useful) idiots.

Europe and Japan in 1945 were worse, look where they are now (and look where Russia is)

    And strongly too...

"A state that commits war crimes by targeting sick children using hypersonic missiles has no interest in peace".

It's easy to find on the RTE news site...
