SA have done their homework….I would expect SA to come out and play 15min of really high tempo and start stretching Ireland across the pitch

Praying Gunne or Doak can kick on next year. I've never thought Casey was anything special.

Doris is having an incredible game.

Crowley is being Crowley, he's playing as I expected, which is not great for an international 10.

Went to watch from start on Sky Glass and the first 20 minutes are missing. Joke

    He's been immense.

Getting no change out of asking Beirne to carry, POM and Bundee have both been quiet. Casey needs to up the tempo, but SA also getting away with flopping all over rucks, so we've had little opportunity to get into a rhythm.

Osbourne has been good and took his try well, delighted for him.

We're well in this, SA have thrown everything at us, and they haven't really looked too much like scoring since the first try. We've settled into the game as it's gone on. Bench is going to be important.

Not true ar all. Not comparable to h Byrne at all. Better than bog standard . Blades grand. Who would you have brought instead?

Our lack of pace in the back 3 is being badly exposed.

we’ve rattled them in the scrum

What are the upsides of Casey ? I just don't see what he offers

Casey is a fine pro. He's honest & hard working but he's not good enough, currently, for the green 9. I would have started Murray.

The drop off from JGP is too big. Hopefully next season sees some alternative options emerge.

A fast pass is kinda wasted when he has to spend 2-3 secs trying to decide what to do when he arrives at a ruck. Kills momentum and allows the SA players to disrupt the ruck

I don't think Murray has the speed to play at the tempo Ireland need to play at.

I was expecting more from Casey but altitude is a great leveller

1st 30 mins oir defence has been poor out wide , Nash , Osborne, Lowe .

Osborne caught for 1st try . But henshaw was caught in tight with kriel outside him to hold Nash

Casey taking too much heat at ruck time , our front row aren’t working hard enough close in .

McCarthy giving away dumb 3 pts , hopefully thats the last .

Expect more from VDF and POM

Crowley having a poor time off tee

Crowley great in defence , saved a certain try

Doris bringing us forward single handedly .

    Beirne is beirne

So to be only a score down when so many are playing poorly isn’t too bad .

Need to cut out the errors in defence and take our chances and points .

Sheehan and Henshaw off at half time.

    Kelleher and Ringrose on.

    Sheehan gone

We have a try due to a pass he made and try-saving tackle on Kolbe. You miss those???

some people over on the top on here

Casey is playing well. As is osbourne. South Africa have been dominant but not on the score board.
    Irish scrum going well

crowley is quiet but so is Aki and henshaw. Are they not international class now too.

Ireland doing well and will be better next week

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 378 ✭✭Strand1970

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,481 ✭✭✭SaoPaulo41

    Good clearance by Crowley there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,385 ✭✭✭schmoo2k

Kalisi playing it on the ground there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 13,001 ✭✭✭✭AbusesToilets

**** off Pearce, SA player blatantly plays the ball on the ground there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,481 ✭✭✭SaoPaulo41

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203
