Just looks like the site being out of sync and bugging out to me. 20C was the correct figure for 2100 (which was 2000 UTC). This is confirmed by other sources, for example the Meteociel hourly graph below (the times are UTC so add an extra hour on for our local time).

Sadly still waiting in Dublin for it to come out. Has threatened a few times to appear, but way too much cloud cover, so looks like no sun-bathing today.

Much preferred the weather yesterday. More sun,not as muggy and cooler but with pleasant warmth .

I'd agree, yesterday 'felt' like a much hotter day because it was very sunny.

Now I'm not complaining about today, I'll take any heat I can get so I can wear my summer dresses!

More like sub tropical Atlantic weather to me (i.e. Madeira type weather) rather than continental (clearer skies). Mostly cloudy, humid, moderately warm (low 20's). At this point in the day, and looking at the sat animation, it's not looking good for decent sunshine for the rest of today - which could have pushed the temps up to 25c with some nice humidity to go along with it. Oh well. TBF, I'm in County Antrim so getting the thickest of the cloud cover. YMMW elsewhere in the country as it does look clearer further south on the Sat images.

Yesterday was significantly better overall due to the hot sunshine. Today's humidity making it feel closer. Pity the two couldn't have combined!

I would agree yesterday while slightly cooler was a much better day with loads of sunshine and 22C. Today is a bit dissapointing and now back to the model watching for the next warm day.

It's sunny here in Galway with plenty of blue skies.

It seemed to be stuck at 22 degrees here all morning and early afternoon, now it's 24. Sun struggling to make a breakthrough! Dublin.

Another class day. Warm and sunny with a nice breeze. Time for the beach.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

I see a 27c and a couple of 26c's being reported on WOW in south county Dublin (like Churchtown). Wouldn't surprise me if accurate with strong southerly breeze. Fohn.

The forecast for today stated some western and southern coastal areas would see the cloudiest of conditions yet checking the satellite today it seems parts of the west coast have been the sunniest.

Latest sat24 animation does show cloud breaking up pretty quickly over central areas within the last 10 to 20 mins. Perhaps a sunny evening to come, which would suit me for a BBQ

Not for Dun Laoghaire unfortunately some brief glimpses but it’s been very dull apart from that.

It's sunny at times here in carrick, very warm 24c and last night didn't fall below 17c which was abit uncomfortable to sleep but I ain't complaining about this nice weather

Disgustingly humid in Dublin city. Very uncomfortable

    Cracking day in Dublin 8

Warm in Longford but there's a warm breeze keeping it from feeling very warm. Lovely weather for working outdoors and good heat in the sunshine. Hovering between 23 and 24° here.

Would love to be in Dublin city right now with temperatures approaching the high 20's in the south of the city. I find that breaching the 27/28° mark is when it begins to really feel like you're in the Continent.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,557 ✭✭✭✭stephenjmcd

Trust me it's extremely humid in the city. It's not pleasant.

Little fresher as you move out of the city

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 240 ✭✭Hairypoppins

I could live with these conditions every day of summer, summer how it's suppose to feel

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,699 ✭✭✭✭tom1ie

    couldn’t agree more!!

South Dublin is very warm but there’s a bit of a breeze which is very welcome.

What does be with the met eireann website. I use it, along with others for the rainfall forecast radar. I cleared my cookies the other day and now cant find the feckin thing! Its the biggest pain in the arse of a website to navigate.

You would think the rain radar would be front and centre, given its ireland like.

Can anyone post a link to it please and thanks!

I'd be more like @Hairypoppins in that I welcome and enjoy warm or even hot weather combined with light or calm winds and high humidity. It's not for everyone but it is for me. I didn't even think it was warm enough for shorts today so you can imagine what my love for heat is like.

I've never found it anywhere close to being too hot in Ireland. Higher than around 35° is when things begin to head towards the "too hot" territory for me, if combined with high humidity and it persists for several weeks.

On the other hand, temperatures into the low 40s with extremely low humidity would feel more pleasant than 30° and high humidity.

definitely not very hot here in sunny south east. I’m still in jeans and trainers and would be quick to change into shorts if temperature were decent.

    Edit. Just baled the hay.
