    England look so so average. Think the hype over them again is unwarranted. They'll get beat by the first decent side they face as per usual.

    England looked absolutely woeful in the groups in the last Euros, but then got motoring in the knock outs.

    Tournament football is a strange beast.

    I wouldn't write off or hype anyone up after the first game.

    how did that ref not give a foul against Kane there, missed a sitter but completely through the back of the Serbian defender.

    Serbia are woeful in the final third, no final ball.

    Serbia team tonight made up of of players from Mallorca, Werder Bremen, Fiorentina, Salzburg, PAOK, Al Hilal, Sevilla, Fulham, Juventus, Sparta Prague, Panathinaikos …

    doing well for a bunch of journey men against the Premier League all stars it has to be said, a weak group so Serbia should be in last 16 hopefully.

    France, Spain, Portugal, Germany and possibly Italy are better than England. They aren't winning this tournament.

    not one of them Serbs can cross a football, or play an accurate defence splitting pass. Had about 50% of possession but in terms of chances created didn’t lay a glove on England…. Hopeful and inaccurate crossing and long range inaccurate shooting…

    I hate to say it but even after that performance I think they could win it....after an initial period of looking good (albeit at a slow enough pace) they couldn't have been much more shite

    And yet they still get the win and a clean sheet in a group with more easy pickings games to come, thats the kind of thing you often see the winning team do...they'll qualify from the group, get encouragement from it and have time to gel and they weren't punished for being shite + they'll know they were shite and won't be taking things for granted

    + The English media will find it hard to get the hype train going just yet...you know when the hype reaches its loony peak is when they are most likely to lose
