Air to water Heat pump or immersion to heat water?

Which is the most efficient (cheapest) way to heat water for house? I have a pretty efficient house and don't use the heat pump for heating underfloor for 8 months of the year. Is is it cheaper to use the air to water heat pump or the immersion to heat water for washing, showers etc?

Heat pump will give you 3 to 1 efficiency for hot water, immersion is 1 to 1. Heat pump all day every day.

Should be faster as the heatpump would be able to push 5-10kW (depending on heatpump) into the tank Vs an immersion at 3kW
