was in Kenmare, Glengarriff, Bantry last 2 days and the weather was glorious for the most part! Got home this evening and the chill in the air was so noticeable…felt quite cold having been the opposite when I was away.

Plenty of short sharp showers. The showers remind me of late autumn when it starts to cool down under a cool showery westerly/NW airmass.

3.8C at Ballincurrig on the hourly obs, the coldest June night there since 2011.

2.8C at Dunmanway looks to be the lowest of the official Met stations, that is on the hourly obs. Could have been lower within the hour.

Lovely morning. Bright and not as chilly as yesterday.9c, N Kildare

    Cool, breezy and showery

Showers falling as snow today in parts of Scotland highground areas and some parts have yet to get above 0C. Not too bad of a day here in Meath, plenty of sunshine but showers seem to be approaching from the north-west, hopefully they will die out before they get to me.

Models keeping things chilly all the way to mid month and after that just average. It could be final week of June before we see anything warm.

I don't mind a relatively cool June, IF we get a great July and decent August. Might be mistaken, but i always seem to think if we have a great May & June we always end up having a crap July/August.

Might be my imagination, or it might not

I have plenty of memories of decent Mays and Junes followed by horrible Julys and Augusts. Hopefully we see a big improvement in the temperature for July and August with a few decent spells of high pressure and at least 1 heat spike.

May 2024 was the warmest on record in Ireland. 2.5C above the LTA for 1961-1990. It was nice in Galway to be fair

June 2023 was also the warmest on record but I doubt June 2024 will live up to it.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

Sat in Vienna overlooking the Wiener Staatsoper. Cool beer and 26C at 7pm. Wonderful weather in a stunning city that functions on so many levels.

I know it's 6.15 I made a mistake. Trying to do more than one thing at a time is a struggle.

I’m wondering if bad Leaving Cert weather will lead to good summer weather for a change?🤔

I lived in Vienna for 3 months and loved it. So much history. The food was a bit schnitzel if you know what I mean but I loved the coffee shops and strudel. A boat ride down the Danube is well worth it.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

Near Glencolmkille ,Donegal. Sunshine and showers today. Felt very fresh in the wind especially by the coast.

I’d recommend going to to silver strand beach Malin beg if you’re in that area. A lot of steps down but a unique setting so worth it if you’re physically able for the trek back up.

I'm down camping in Mayo with family since yesterday. Kids in/out of tent dodging showers. It's cold now but was ok this morning in the sunshine. Been overcast, showery and windy since midday. Nobody complaining yet, here till Sun but have the exit plan ready to go if it gets too cold.

We went there today aswell. Lovely beach. I would say its a great place to go for a swim if the weather was warmer.

This evening didn't go above 9c in Sligo. 8c now. Yesterday was 9c too in evening. Was too cold to go for run. Ya it's 13 years since this cold here but its not that strange looking back on my weather books.

A beautiful sunny morning in Dublin, but cold.

There are spiders everywhere as if it was October and they were coming inside for the Winter.

Delighted with this north westerly flow as usually plagued here in Greystones with an eastely flow in June, off the cold Irish Sea, and 13/14c.

May was good, June off to a right stinker.

Rain everyday so far, and low temperature.

I was driving in a heavy hail shower 2 days ago. Hail in June! And same day also had one of the heaviest rain bursts I've ever seen.
