League matches have kids in free. Not so championship. Everyone has a ticket scanned. At the Donegal match in 2019 it was noticeable being there that there was a massive crowd on the Bacon factory / McHale road corner. From memory the walkway between the top and bottom sections on that side was jammed. While there was a good bit of space on the Albany end where we ended up going to for a bit of comfort. All the Donegal lads parked on the N5 and came in that way. Galway lads would be well used to McHale Park and would have wanted to be closer to the Ballinrobe / Breaffey road for a quick getaway. Again from memory though the f'ers wouldn't leave that day in 2018 as they celebrated like they had just won another 3 in a row.

Unfortunately Diarmuid is out and it's his hamstring again.

I'd heard rumours but its just been confirmed to me.

Don't know the severity but out of Dublin and Roscommon and I can't really see how he'd play more much for Mayo this year.

Coming off the back of Paddy's injury this is catastrophic news.

I'm doubt there'll be an official announcement on this one but he won't be playing.

    that’s an unmitigated disaster

We always play so lateral without them .
    Depressing

I think we might be cursed lads

great to be able to forewarn Roscommon tho. Kudos.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,664 ✭✭✭Blackjack

I would imagine Roscommon would have been aware as soon as anyone else. One thing we’re not short of in the county is people who can’t keep their mouth shut. Case in point certain ex players telling anyone around Ballina who would listen that Clarke was dropped from the starting line up for the 2016 replay. Some folk think it’s a badge of honour to have information and shoot their mouth off.

I'm just imagining Davey Burke scouring boards.ie looking for confirmation of rumours and trying to come up with a plan!

    😂 thanks,I needed that today

We have loads of them in Mayo. I think Kerry are the best at keeping stuff quiet. One that is laying it out in a correct manner is Keegan. I was reading the reply by Keegan to Mcmahon - still a class act.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,905 ✭✭✭HBC08

You can watch it on GaaGo in Ireland.

I can't make this one so thats what I'll be doing.

Also I've two general admission tickets.

(Free of charge to anybody on here if you promise to roar your head off and support the lads!)

    PM me

Roscommon probably heard it the same time everyone else did. Has hardly been a secret.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 499 ✭✭TsuDhoNimh

They made some mess with the "Available" on all 3 upcoming games, probably a copy/paste or a misused template gone wrong. You'll be able to watch it alright.

Logging in on an Irish package account ("Season Pass"), it shows all 3 games and details them as "Paid".
Games that are only available abroad ("Annual Pass") aren't visible as an option on this account at all.

yea, case in point here too. Congrats on the badge. I think this very forum has complained in teh past about feeding the rumour mill.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,630 ✭✭✭Squatman

probably not davey, but theres probably a pleb in roscommon, lets call him hbc07, and he is likely dropping in and out keeping an eye on the developments. its clear from 2/3 slides ago that galway people are drifing in and out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,664 ✭✭✭Blackjack

    the badge?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,664 ✭✭✭Blackjack

what badge are you referring to?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 118 ✭✭Be-Jaysus

May-aswell go out today and play with freedom & panache as opposed to the systematic bland football that we are witnessing over the past 12 months.

Theirs no ALL Ireland in this team until we unearth more fearless youth & integrate them into this current crop.

Take off the shackles lads & give the fans some bang for their buck.

    100%
However I fear more of the same , slow lateral passing and a draw !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,593 ✭✭✭Westernview

I think it will be more of the same too, especially with Paddy and Diarmuid out. Expecting the Rossies to come out all guns blazing but we should get on top as the game progresses.

A supposed update on the Mayo COE. Still at pricing and feasibility stage it seems.

Anyone here use GAAGO on a Fire stick? Bought the match, can view it on my phone, but am getting 'dont have access to this event' in the app. Very frustrating

in the stand down at the mayo end. Mustn’t have been here since way back in the last century, doesn’t look familiar at all… looks like mayo will have it tougher than I was expecting anyway…

Ruane McHale and the EmcL playing very well
    Some nice creative forward play
We really should be out of sight
    Incredible miss by McHale
Everyone was celebrating as thought it hit underside of cross bar
Was nearly impossible to hit the outside of the stantion but he managed it !!!!

Strong breeze with us second half
can see boland coming on to kick a few

EMcL definitely MOTM. Seems to have brought a bit more control to his play. Getting goals again the main positive.

Subs options look limited. Lack of ruthlessness at times is an issue. Should be an interesting game against Dublin but overall lack of scorers will an issue. Dublin will put a lot more pressure on the kickers.
