A man in full, with Jeff Daniels chewing up the scenery.

It's no Ripley but watchable enough over 6 episodes.

You are a khaki coloured bombardier, it's Hiroshima that you're nearing.

Have to disagree here. Hardly totally unique. I felt the stalking element was very contrived. I know loads of people agree with your take on it but it baffles me that people can see this as something other than rubbish.

Re the stalking element “He made it happen to him” would be more accurate.

Finished Baby Reindeer, have to say don't really get the hype about it.

Thought parts of it were very weird altogether( I'm not just talking about the stalking).

I watched the 1st episode of Baby Reindeer and I thought it was just sad and the amount of times I asked myself why.

I still can't believe she was actually a real lawyer.

I might go back to it, after all the hype it's getting.

I dont think she is a fully qualified lawyer. She did a law course of some calibre at a pass level. See Piers Morgan interview with her.

That is unexpected news. Will we see a little Nicky sequel in due course?

Finished up Bodkin there today and it's a weird mess of a thing. Certain aspects have some decent insight into places like West Cork, but then other things (like the name ffs!) are just utterly off. It feels like a project where at least 2 different ideas were just mashed together regardless of whether they actually made sense to fit together. I'd been hoping for something similar to Only Murders In The Building, but despite the podcast-makers-as-plot-device element this falls a fair bit short of that.

On the positive (for me) side, watching it has made me realise that it's been a fair while since I got enough out of the service to make it worth the money, so I'm cancelling as of my next renewal. In the meantime, I'm looking through the stuff on my watchlist to pick out what things I definitely want to make time to watch before then. I'll probably renew for a month here and there (e.g. I do want to catch the last season of Umbrella Academy in August), but I doubt I'll be keeping it going again any time soon.

watched the Ashley Madison documentary yesterday, it’s in 3 episodes. Strangely compelling with a few twists towards the end.

Yeah enjoyed it. Scumbaggy individuals and true crime makes good TV.

Had to laugh at the main "victim". Out shagging up, down, left and right while givin the good Christian patter to his missus. Even giving the Netflix interviews about getting caught out he throws in God a few times 🤣 feckin clown.

Not a trailer, but uh, a title reveal... Daniel Craig returns as Benoit Blanc in 2025's Wake Up Dead Man.

I've been doing this for about a year, maybe a bit more. Last time I had a subscription was January to watch Boy Swallows Universe, which I watched over a week, and then I looked at what I really wanted to get to before it expired again, and there was only one or two things.

Haven't renewed since, and I'm not seeing anything on the horizon that would make me want to.

Tires - six part US comedy with Shane Gillis.

    Very, very funny

Couldn't tolerate Bodkin, was very cringey acting that through me off right from the get go.

I think some people are missing the point with Bodkin, it's not meant to be a serious drama it's actually classed as a comedy.

The hammed up acting just makes it, it's one of those so bad it's good programmes.

Watched "Atlas" this week. Enjoyable sci-fi action movie that moves along at a good pace and with very decent special effects. Would have not been out of place on a big screen.

Jennifer Lopez does a good job with her role, a hard enough one as for large parts she is inside a robot cockpit type thing. Imagine a smaller version of the robots from Pacific Rim and instead of joining with another pilot, you are joining with the robot's AI.

I was going to say it won't win any awards but compared to Rebel Moon, this is a certified Oscar winning movie!!!!

Watched "Ashley Madison: Sex. Lies and scandal". Its painful to watch at times but all in all a very entertaining documentary. A cautionary tale if there ever was one

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 7,731 ✭✭✭jj880

For me Atlas was absolutely terrible. JLo has gone downhill acting wise. I loved her chemistry with Clooney in Out Of Sight. Don't waste your time on Atlas.
