I know it’s a public service but today’s show was a borefest. No matter what any of these guys are talking about, once elected they’ll vote with their block and we won’t see or hear of them for another 5 years. Yet we had to endure them shouting over each other this morning. Awful stuff

She has walked the walk all her life and knows exactly the mess we are in.

The trouble is that like the song ...

"... they're not listening now, perhaps they never will"

She nailed M McNamara all the same when she asked him what grouping he would join and he ran away from the question.

I would like ednwireland to come back and explain there post.

Louise O' Reilly flat out clutching pearls at the prospect of a convicted felon running for public office.

    Jesus wept...

Welcome to the programme and just as I speak I can see ..on my screen .. Ireland are in a penalty shoot out with England in the World Cup final in Melbourne. It is 4-4 and Mohammad Al Suhari is stepping up to take the last penalty kick. If he scores we will win the WORLD CUP!!! Tom Doyle, aged just 25, contacted Covid earlier this year and he is still struggling with it today. Tom joins us in the studio to talk about his symptoms. Tom will tell us what kind of shed he bought to work from home. Also we will have Professor Ed O 'Neill talk to us about how to wash our hands properly in a post Covid world. After the break 'John' talks to us about his mental health challenges when he broke his hand in a fall from his bicycle and finally Mary shows us how to make flapjacks. But first Covid and Tom.

With the mandatory moratorium on the elections, I hope that Claire will be able to find enough topics for tomorrows show to not be forced to rely on fluff topics such as television previews, skin care, bloggers and sloth banter about celebrities.

It's OK, a new Covid wave is making news again.

Well it is Friday, so maybe they will drag out the "celebrity chef tells us how to scramble eggs" segment a bit more

I was listening back to another ding ding ding from yesterday's show.

    Neasa Hourigan vs Ciaran Mullooly

She comes across as a right cnut 😝

Heard that myself and she was needlessly aggressive and arrogant. Mulooly was spouting some crap too but what he was saying substantively had value and fe made fair points. He certainly didn’t deserve the reaction from hourugan. They’d do well to rid themselves of her in the current climate.

Helen McEntee yakking about something for twenty five minutes now. Seems to be ramping up 'enforcement' rhetoric in advance of election

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,262 ✭✭✭✭NIMAN

So that she can ignore enforcing most laws when back in power.

The cupboard is pretty bare when you have to resort to accusations of mansplaining.

Crèche costs an average of €1276 a month in Dublin. Mortgages also extortionate. It’s not rocket science why people aren’t having 3/4 kids regularly anymore.

I just turned Claires show on. Shes discussing tunes for the bbc news with some bore. Thats how pathetic its got for Claire. You would think there is nothing important happening in the world.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,459 ✭✭✭StaticNoise

That was David Lowe. Why is he on now, despite being on The Hard Shoulder on Newstalk a month ago.

As the interview finished up, I was waiting for the "David is appearing at the…" line from Claire - but it appears as if he was just invited on to talk through the BBC News theme composition for no other reason, and not to flog a book launch or conference appearance. The 'How I make the BBC News theme' was doing the rounds in early May, when it was 25 years old - but two month after the milestone seems a bit unusual.

That American is Michael Harrigan retired FBI special agent. He was head of the FBI Firearms Training Unit.

Sure what would he know about it 🙂
