    Anyone bring one in recently?

Saw a petrol car online in the UK that I fancy but realistically, is the price likely to double after vrt etc. or even worse.

Car is £1800. VRT of the exact model couldn't be found so I found the closest one.

Check out my rough sums, do they look correct?

    Car Purchase

    €2,100.00

    VRT

    €820.00

    NOx

    €600.00

    Ferry

    €120.00

Total cost ex. Duty and VAT

    €3,640.00

    Duty @10%

    €364.00

    VAT @23%

    €837.20

    TOTAL

    €4,841.20

So for a car that was purchased for 1800 sterling, it's likely to cost close to 5k euro all in!

P.S. I know you can massage the car purchase price but it's not likely to bring the total price down a lot to make it worth it.

Also, there are no cars of this spec/engine in Ireland for sale.
