CAB houses

Sure, why not, if it comes at the right price.

I don't think I'd buy a CAB house.

One is there often overly tacky and would take a lot of work to get to my taste. Big chunks of marble tiles/pillars, tacky lights, etc

There's also that you could just bring a lot of hassle on yourself because of the houses past owners.

Sometimes the locations of these houses aren't great.

There’s a lot of “intimidation” used to discourage people from buying these houses.

Fair few of them have been vacant for a long time.

They should be taken apart piece by piece then and sold off and the land sold off to a developer or the local County Council.

State, all that money spent and it looks like a church not a mansion,next

Usually bought by an investor and rented out.

Or bought by another dodgy frcker

Someone could buy as an investment, put in Ukranians or whoever, make a fortune, and then in 5 or 10 or 15 years when people have forgotten / gotten over it was a CAB house, just sell it on at a profit.

Of course. It could be a different country in 5 or 10 years time, especially if there is a change of government and foreign multinational ditch us as quick as they ditched that leftie's web summit etc

I'd take the risk and put it in my pocket. I reckon these guys have so many pockets of cash all over the place they've lost track.
