That KFC ad with the masseuse is very strange. Don't get it at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,683 ✭✭✭Kaisr Sose

It may already have been said..

...The Heinz beans ad with the grown man crying like someone has died. I

    Sad, stupid, silly, etc.

A bit of Ballydehob in it too. And Skibbereen, I think. I know the guy walking the dog. Sound fella. Used to be the local school principal. The ad is painful though.

It's meant to be that you can eat it without getting your hands greasy but tbh if I'm getting a massage and the masseur stops to eat a wrap, it's not going to go down well!!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,487 ✭✭✭Vote4Squirrels

There's two at the moment that should lead to the creators being put in stocks and pelted with garbage .....

Yakult - inane bint doing jazz hands singing about friendly fcking bacteria...

And tbh the other one I have no idea what it is for but some similar product where they are rapping about gut health. Shoot me !!!!

Sorry to comment on someone's choice btw but that Dairy Milk one where the kid buys her mammy a bar of chocolate and pays for it with buttons etc - when the shopkeeper gives her the unicorn back, I just weep like a baby!!!

Plenty of crappy ads out there that are badly acted or use ridiculous gimmicks to sell junk.

The latest ad for the Alzheimers society in the UK doesn't fall into those categories imo, I just found it a really hard unpleasant watch.

We buy any car ads are very annoying, where they hop out of the car singing the song.

It's a strange ad, because it rips off (includes the original guy tbf) a viral video from years ago. But not everyone is familiar with it, only young ones so the ad just comes across as awfully stupid.

    One of We buys adverts.

    Original viral video:

Thanks! Now it makes sense, still think it's plain weird the way the massuse and the woman just stare at each other while she is eating it.

Not an annoying ad per se (the song itself is annoying in itself as an anthem for drunken hen parties) but the woman in the M and S ad lip-syncing 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun' is probably one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen.

Does anyone else hate that new Eir Ad? I mean it really says nothing..no special deal or best coverage…just for everyone..Is any service exclusive?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1 iamthatguy

that’s not jazz hands, it’s an homage to the Numa numa youtube video. One of the early viral hits which even made it into an episode of South Park

Her name's Sara Sampaio. She's gonna be in the new Superman movie that James Gunn is making. She's a former Victoria's secret model.

    You're welcome. :)

There is an ad online, and I cant even remember what its for, but a girl is holding up the box and the product name has been reversed in the camera lens. They just went ahead without fixing it!

Why is there soo many adverts for women's sport? Its almost as if the Government has allocated money or something?

With the housing crisis and the state of our health system... nice to see they have their priorities right.

Careful now, following a spate of posts on the RTÉ ONE, 2, Junior, and Player thread about the ladies International displacing the big Arsenal-Bayern Champions league quarter final, the Mod closed down all comments on the basis that 'discussion about the merits of men's v women's sport would not be allowed'. The discussion was actually about a top viewership and earning rated event being dumped for a minority interest event. It's not sexist or discriminatory to point that out, but the mod danced the hokey wokey over it. If you look at that ad where GAA ladies go to play a match in alternative universes, (empty stadium, full stadium etc,) you're left wondering about the dismal attendances at the mens' inter County league competition, and why that hasn't resulted in an ad campaign. Maybe because the counties and players themselves don't want to be there.

Why are the RSA showing this ad in Ireland, the accident happened in Spain, different driving culture, different side of the road, different level of policing, abolutely zero to do with the Irish driver…

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,644 ✭✭✭deezell

Maybe you're supposed to pay more attention and be in awe of someone who goes to Spain just to train on a bicycle, not like the rest of us for whom a brisk walk along the towpath of the grand canal suffices as our aerobic diet. "I was tipped by a Board of works van while walking to Sallins" doesn't have the same soundbite impact (though the impact of the van might have matched the imported Spanish one). They're all a bunch of overpaid knobs who make these ads.

I wish they would stop showing the one with the red headed woman sitting on the toilet talking to the camera.

I absolutely despise the Vodafone ad. That woman screaming does my head in. It’s on constantly. Another one I hate is the Ikea ad so repetitive and goes on forever.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61 ✭✭Ralph_GM

Find her basic enough tbh. Very skinny without any shape too.

Huge money/focus being put on womens sports in the name of 'equality'.

No idea why womens football for example is put on tv when there's an attendance of like 300 people which would basically be family and friends of the players. If no one is interested in going to the stadium to watch it, no one has an interest to watch on tv.

For the women all ireland finals, it's all about 'breaking the attendance record' to show how much womens sports interest is growing. They throw out tickets to schools and companies for free. The league finals last week, croker was empty.

Similar, I heard for an irelands womens soccer match in Tallaght a couple years back. Ad on the radio saying 'Get on down to Tallaght Stadium and help break the womens attendance record!'

Tamlkikg soccer, there’s an ad in one of the Theirsattelite stations for Walkers with some dude and Thierry Henri at a match saying there’s a problem. There are all the Walkers. Then they go round the crowd till they find a tangible why Walkers. Cheating ba$tard Henri probably nicked the Walkers he ate! It’s a very annoykng add.

The chewing gum ads with the little screaming and shouting mouths on peoples foreheads. I mute as soon as I see one coming on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,186 ✭✭✭wazzzledazzle

Any Gillette ad, the wokery is off the scale. Not even sure why Gillette bother advertising. The Razors sell themselves.

The Sky bullsh*t ad on womens soccer but more specifically the nonense phrase "outbelieve" whatever tf that is supposed to mean.

That seems familiar. Was it menstrual products or thrush medication?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 461 ✭✭Kingslayer

It was incontinence pads as I recall.

I think it has only ever been shown on british tv despite the girl having a cork accent.

That's the one, thanks for the information. Tena pads.
