Company Office - Minimum Legal Requirements

What are the minimum legal requirements for a company office? For example, can I use my home as a company office and just place a sticker on the doorbell and say its my company's office? The legal requirements surrounding this area aren't clear.

Are you just looking for an address for the formation of a company?

If so there are no issues with using your home address, you don't need to go putting a sign or stickers up

Just know that by using your home address that will be available to the public via the CRO should they look up details

Yes I am just looking for an address. I have looked at 'virtual addresses' but I'm not sure how they work. What happens if the CRO or revenue comes looking for documents? Where will they go?

There’s no way of telling the difference between a virtual address and a real address. If they turn up at the virtual address with the correct documents then the virtual office will pass on your details.

PO Boxes are different. A lot of companies won’t deal with a company with a PO Box address.

some accountants provide this as a service - if any documents are received, they'll send you a scan, and ask what you want to do with the original, for example

I was under the impression that a company had to advertise its place of address. If an accountant or virtual office company had 100s of companies at its address, how would it demonstrate this?
