CO in Killarney 2024

Hi all. My first post here.

Has anyone on here applied for the permanent Clerical Officer roles in Killarney for the Dept of Justice?
Just trying to find out if anyone has any info on the potential number of jobs or something along those lines. My first time applying to civil service, placed on the panel, and unsure what to make of it now. I’m past the tests and interview stage.

They're a nice bunch of people in justice. Just so you know , there is talk of it merging with the NSSO payroll who are in the same building.

When did you apply for this ,were you a co before this .

I applied for this on the 27th Feb, and on the 29th March I’ve been placed on a panel and the email mentioned that as soon as the dept knows how many positions there are, they’ll start the pre-employment checks. So to my understanding no jobs were offered as of yet.
I’ve never been a CO for civil service before, but have been an admin.

Thank you. This is what was mentioned also in the information booklet. To me (a person who’s not fully aware of the implications of this) means there won’t be many jobs appearing there if any, thus creating a panel seems strange, but I could be wrong, and I hope I am.
