I have black hair and my beard is going red. I would like to dye it black. I have never done this before and I have no idea where to start.

What do I need? Where can I get it? How do I go about this?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Go to chemist. Ask them to point to the beard dye. There's a few brands, all pretty easy to use.

A few barbers do it in Dublin, but not many.

Available all over the place, lots of colours.

It's a bugger because, of course, your beard grows much faster than the hair on your head. So if you don't want the undyed roots to be visible you'll have to repeat the treatment frequently - probably more than once a week, depending on your tolerance for visible roots.

Thanks for the responses. Is the kit posted the best option or is there a DIY way to might be cheaper for more regular use? I will dye it once and see how it goes.

Might be easier and cheaper to dye your hair red, OP!

I get the dye off Bazzler Beauty (website) and developer from Sally or one of those stores in Dublin.

    Much cheaper than JustForMen.

Don't use hair dye on your beard (as in, scalp hair).

OP must be late teens which is way early to be hair dying but then, it's also good he's aware of his appearance.

I wish I had more appearance awareness when I was that age (30's now).

People say "no one notices". Believe me, they notice and respond accordingly.

If women stopped paying attention to their hair, would men notice………?

It's really no different in reverse.
